After taking the free port shuttle to the Progreso shuttle terminal, I will meet you on the market side. We’ll drive about 45 minutes to Dzibilchaltún, an important Mayan archaeological site, famous for its Temple of the Seven Dolls and cenote for a quick refreshing dip. Then we’ll continue to Mérida, the vibrant capital of Yucatán, for a guided walking tour of its main square, cathedral, colonial streets, and local markets. We’ll also stop at the Museum of Yucatecan Gastronomy for a delicious lunch, sampling traditional dishes while learning about the region’s culinary heritage. At the end, we’ll return to Progreso in time for your cruise departure, making it a seamless, cultural, and flavorful shore excursion.
