Walking along the astonishing Upper Galleries (classical art collection; 16th century tapestries and ancient maps of the regions of Italy on the wall) we reach the private apartment of Pope Giulius II. We pass through Pope Alessandro Borgia's apartment, frescoed in the 15th century, which houses a rich collection of contemporary art. We reach The Sistine Chapel, where the Pope are elected. Inside are the unique and controversial vault (1508-1512) painted by Michelangelo and his masterpiece: the Last Judgment (1535-1541)
