I am an Expat from the United States, I have been blessed to live and guide through this beautiful country called Italy for the past 22 years. My first love and city mastered was the Eternal City of Rome, where I have lived and taught an English Master's program at UET. The University of European Tourism is located outside the Papal walls of Vatican City. I enjoyed teaching and being around the students very much, their youth is contagious. As I've traveled around the entire country, I've discovered the beauty in each region, as well as the wine and culinary wonders. My guiding experience is throughout Italy's Regions, as a National Driver Guide. My areas of expertise include the hillside medieval towns that are nestled in-between the Apennine Mountains. During my tours, I explain the history of Italy and make certain that you have the opportunity to experience all of the local monuments, as well as the iconic art and historical culture. My guiding is based on the TRUE ITALIAN EXPERIENCE. The Slow Food Movement, which they call the zero kilometer touring started in Italy because of how the food is prepared and my tours will take you to taste it all, fresh cheese, the award winning wines and truffle pasta. . . not to mention the limoncello in Sorrento after a day in Pompei. I have been blessed with a gift when it comes to guiding children and the disabled throughout this country. Nothing is a challenge for me and I enjoy seeing each of these places with people who thought they would never get there, life is meant to be lived! Your journey starts early from Rome. We will drive past the Bay of Naples and stop to have an authentic Buffalo mozzarella place for a tasting that will melt in your mouth. We will then head towards the gates of Pompeii for a tour of the ancient ruins, tickets and your guide are included. After Pompeii we will stop in Sorrento for an unforgettable lunch at a small terraced farm called La Sorgente where you will fantastic lunch we will stroll around the streets of Sorrento experience the freshly grown food, homemade wine, cheese, limoncello and preserves and learn how to make fresh mozzarella and the processing of extra virgin olive oil. After a fato tour and of course shopping.
Our private tour of Pompeii and Amalfi coast exceeded our expectations. It was a perfect day with our amazing tour guide, Caron/Pamela, and driver Marco. They were knowledgeable, professional, thoughtful, entertaining, and just great fun. They even managed to provide us with a beautiful 70-degree blue sky day. We give them our highest recommendation!
Our day trip from Rome to Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast with Caron was wonderful. The trip was personalized to our needs and interests—and paced just right. Caron was easy to talk with and, importantly, to get along with. She was genuine. We felt as if we had been met by a family member acquainting us with their city. Our introduction to Rome began immediately. Caron pointed out landmarks and historical features on our drive through the city and continued to show us important features of Rome, Naples, Sorrento, and the Amalfi Coast throughout our full day tour. Our lunch on Mt Vesuvius was leisurely and delicious. The afternoon in Sorrento was divine. I recommend Caron without reservation and look forward to her expertise the next time I’m in Rome.
We had an incredible day with Caron. She is wonderful and knowledgeable and we were fast friends. The tour was a long day and went very fast. It was exactly what we were looking for, a taste of Pompei and Amalfi to see where we want to stay more next time. Each stop was unique and our favorite.
Caron offers an amazing experience. We had so much fun— and the tour of Pompeii followed by the lovely farm-to-table lunch at the mozzarella farm were unforgettable.
If there were more stars this tour should get them. Caron was fantastic and to be honest it was the best tour we ever took. That being said, the information and knowledge Caron had as well as her phenomenal personality was a winning combination. We never wanted the tour to end. Wonderful tour. Caron made this tour extra special for everyone. She is so knowledgeable and patience with all the questions. The tour was my families favorite.
