Hello Everybody, I am a licensed tour guide based in Rome. I was born and raised in Rome, then I traveled the world because of my father's job. I came back to Rome where I graduated from college in History and Philosophy with a minor ( I would rather say: a true passion!) for art history and archeology. I lived in New York for several years and then I came back to Rome where I am blessed to "play tourist in my own city" as a job. I love my city, the Eternal City, which means " no matter who the ruler is" this city is eternal. I love to share the history of some of the most important and famous venues in town, but I also love to make my clients feel "insiders" when they explore Rome and Italy. Living abroad gave me the chance to see my country with different eyes and actually, I love being " a cultural bridge" for people who visit Rome. I do a lot of tours, but I am also very flexible when it comes to matching my client's expectations. I love helping my clients to tailor their trip to Italy from the moment I have the privilege to receive their first email. I will make sure to make your visit to Rome and Italy an unforgettable "album" of memories. I have a network of people helping me to do so. While you are in Rome, you would like to visit Pompei? We'll be there in no time with a day trip which will exceed your expectation. Have you always wanted to visit the gorgeous Capri? We will make it happen. I am also specialized in pilgrimages, such a the 7 Churches Pilgrimage and the Four Papal Basilicas of Rome. I can also arrange trips to Puglia to visit the Sanctuary of San Giovanny Rotondo where Padre Pio is and Monte Sant'Angelo All you have to do is sharing with me your dreams about what seeing in Rome or from Rome in a day trip. I am looking forward to hearing from you See you soon. . . A presto Monica I am a licensed tour guide and I am also licensed to tour inside the Vatican Museums. Some of the numerous reviews I received : 28/02/2018 Best of Rome. Friendly and Informative with a good sense of humour. I really liked the way she introduced herself and asked where we were from before the tour started, this is the first time I have had a tour guide do this. Angela 20/02/2018 Borghese Gallery She was wonderful and so knowledgeable. Sharon and Gregg 18/02/2018 Colosseum Express Monica gave us a great insight to life at the colosseum and a very clear and entertaining brief history . Brilliant. Helen 15/02/2018 Borghese Gallery Thank you, Monica, for sharing your passion for the Borghese Museum with us. We so enjoyed spending the afternoon with you and learning so much about the history of Bernini, Caravaggio and so much more. You shared your wealth of knowledge with us in a way that had us engaged and interested in all you had to say. I think you are one of the best tour guides we had I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

A unique gem, filled up with masterpieces in the heart of Rome : the Borghese Gallery, where we will spend two hours getting to know how Caravaggio could use his brush in a way that changed the history of painting, to admire all the Bernini "talking statues", to enjoy Titian, Raphael, Rubens and many others. I will bring to life for you all the pieces of art which are part of this outstanding art collection. * The Borghese Gallery is closed on Mondays.
We will meet at the entrance of the Borghese Gallery and we will spend two house visiting the two floors of the gallery. You will get the chance to admire Bernini sculptures, Caravaggio's paintings, Rubens, Titian, Raphael masterpieces and I will do my best to bring all these pieces of art to life for you. I will share with you all the details to be able to "read' a painting when you'll be on your own on this Italian journey and I will make sure you will know all the anecdotes - both artistic and historical - related to these famous artists.
