Ciao! My name is Veronica and "discovering" is MY word! Thanks to my studies in languages I started to travel the world when I was very young and I could build my acknowledge about other cultures abroad. Overview of your Livorno tour
Hidden in the valley of Candalla, just 15 miles from Lucca and Pisa, we have a magical landscape of green forests, old ruins of mills, factories, creeks, medieval fortifications, caves, traditional villages. . . . What else do we need? This itinerary is a real gem, hidden to locals too! We can discover this land of centenary tradition, when people once used the fruits of the forest like chestnuts and olives to survive and until at the end of 19th century they used the power of water to produce chestnut flour, olive oil or even pasta. Here you can see the ruins of the second oldest pasta factory of Tuscany! Along the trails we will stop to admire two caves where rests of the Stone Age were found and the remainings of two powerful fortications belonged to the city of Pisa This is one of the oldest sites in the province of Lucca, let me show you my place!

- Pick up at the terminal or hotel. - Transfer to Camaiore (about 1 hour). - Hike from Candalla to the village of Casoli, Metato, ruins of Montecastrese and back. - Drop off again in Livorno at the end of the day. 1500 feet considering ascent and descent (climb from 330 feet to 1300).
