Hello and welcome to Tuscany! My name is Rossella and I have been an Authorized/Licensed Tour Guide for more than 25 years, and 10 years ago I qualified and passed the exams to also become an Authorized Private Driver. I use a lovely brand new black Mercedes van to take visitors to the Tuscan Countryside, to wineries, to medieval hilltowns and visit this side of Italian gems such as Florence, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, Cortona, Montepulciano, Cinqueterre . . . and the list goes on and on. I can consider myself energetic, personable and kwnoledgeable. I have to be so. . . I am mother of five. I am a good cook too, I cook for clients and I offer Italian Cooking lessons as far away as Hawaii, where I spent nearly a month. I will be able to also share my knowledge and love of Italian cuisine with you! I look forward to seeing you in Tuscany! License as Italian Tour Guide, Issued by Region Tuscany Italy, in 1997. Authorized Driver for 9 seats van (8 passengers plus the driver) by the Motorizzazione Civile Livorno in 2014. Autorization N.C.C. (Hired Driver with a van).

Overview of your Livorno tour

Get a tour of an area which is part of the National Park of Cinqueterre. The villages are part of the region Liguria (1, 30 hrs from Florence). It includes the visit to some or all the 5 villages that are close to the sea. During summer and beautiful days Monterosso, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola, Riomaggiore can be visited by boat from PortoVenere, an hop on hop off ticket is available. Or you may decide to visit two of them by van. Usually the tour starts in Livorno, and after 1, 30 hrs drive we reach Portovenere and, after visiting the village, the Lord Byron cave and the view from the very famous window on the sea we will go to Vernazza and Corniglia, where to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and a good lunch with seafood and pesto. From there we will drive back to the ship.

Our tour guide Isabella was great. She was very flexible and altered our tour to accommodate our changing needs. The Cinque Terre was quite busy during our visit and the day was also hot. Everything went as we requested. However, we discovered that the trip from Portofino Port was quite long and much of the day was spent driving on beautiful, but extremely curvy roads. Suggest if you plan to visit the Cinque Terre, do so from La Spezia Port. It’s so much nearer to Cinque Terre which would allow for more sightseeing and less driving.

Thank you Rossella for your sense of humour, fun and knowledge with our tour to the pirate islands. Having limited time from a cruise stop, you knew to manage the time to get us back to Port whilst being a public holiday in Italy and busy traffic. Whilst the drive down to Cinque Terra was hair raising, your driving skills were excellent! We had a lovely day exploring and would recommend you to others wanting to explore this area of Italy.
