Half Day Uffizi Gallery Tour in Florence

Wonderful guide, engaging and interesting. Gave us a lot of history and made it fun. Clearly deeply knowledgeable about the art and any question you might ask! We hit all the big artworks and the additional background we got from her made them even more fascinating. Top guide, highly recommended, whole process was smooth and well managed.

Christiane was such an expert art guide who made the Uffizi's masterpieces come alive for our family of three, including a teenage son. My husband and I have been to the Uffizi before and her explanations and guidance made a tremendous difference in our experience. We have worked with many Tours by Locals tour guides and other companies all over the world. She is one of the best art guides we have ever had. She connected the artists to their patron sponsors to Italy's overall history. I strongly recommend this half-day tour that will hit all the major gems of the massive art museum. The masterpieces are scattered all over the museum so with her deft maneuvering, we had an efficient three plus hours. We also had family members recovering from leg injuries so she was able to accommodate their needs as well.

Christiane was friendly and highly knowledgeable about the gallery, the paintings within it, and added some very unique information from the art restoration world. She was able to guide us quickly through the museum to see some of the most famous and important works, and knew exactly where there would be lines or crowded areas so we could navigate to alternate entrances/viewing points. I'd highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to get an informative and encompassing walkthrough of Uffizi.

What a treat to visit the Uffizi with Christiane. While my husband and I had both been fortunate enough to visit this museum before, we leaned so much and had a wonderful time. We wouldn’t hesitate to book a tour with her again.

Extremely interesting, with the recurring theme that today's masterpieces were often not recognized as such in their own time. A wonderfully cautionary tale about sneering at our own contemporary avante guarde art that, perhaps, will also stand the test of time. And we loved her insight about how many restorations have actually distorted the original piece. Bravo Christiane!
