I love Chianti, let's start from this. . . while in the car I will educate you a bit about the region you are about to visit, its history, culture and wines, definitely my favorite! On the way you'll visit some small tows of the area like Greve, Montefioralle, Panzano. We will head for our first winery where you will have a chance to explore the cellars, taste the wines and discuss them with the winemaker. The wines you will typically taste are Chianti Classico, Riserva, Super Tuscan, Vin Santo. For lunch I will suggest something small and rustic in a perfect Tuscan style! Perhaps at a winery? In the second part of the day if you want is possible to visit another highly rated winery. Together with the previous experience you'll start to appreciate the range of aromas and flavors that Chianti Classico wines have to offer. Should you prefer to skip a town stop I can arrange to visit a third winery. You just let me know what you would like to do and if it is at all feasible I'll plan for it.
Massimo was a great guide- friendly, good with our kids, flexible, informative and really went above and beyond to help us have a good time. Also a good, safe driver. It was a beautiful tour, exactly what we were hoping for, and we got to see great places we wouldn’t have found otherwise. Even a few impromptu stops along the way. The vehicle was comfortable and it was such an stress-free way to get around. Highly recommended for a magical day in Chianti.
We had an excellent tour with Massimo. He was fun, knowledgeable, on time and experienced. Our Mercedes van was perfect for the five of us. He added in the Piazza Michelangelo as our first stop granting us a beautiful view of the entire city of Florence. We enjoyed his banter on life in Florence and a short customized a visit to San Gimignano with a recommendation for the very best gelato. As we ventured into the Chianti region he was informative about the types of grapes and the local lore. Our wine tour and lunch at Casa Emma’s was super—out on the patio with a view of the vineyards. Massimo also assisted with information on some of the other regions in the area in case we had time for additional tours. We would definitely recommend him to friends and family and will surely book him the next time we are back in Florence. Thanks Massimo for a delightful day!

Unfortunately due to weather our ship could not stop at the port and we were unable to take the tour. Although we did not take our tour, the professionalism Massimo was outstanding. He worked with me to customize our tour and his level of communication was outstanding. I hope to return and take a tour with him in the future
We had a wonderful day with Massimo touring the Chianti region and of course, drinking wine. During the 50 minutes drive from Florence, we took in the scenery as he explained about the region and its wine. We visited a medium (?) sized winery, where we first had a tour and then sat at a table on their porch overlooking the vineyards and beautiful countryside. One of the winery staff members explained each of the wines (as well as olive oil and balsamic vinegar) that we sampled along with a nice lunch consisting of several courses. Massimo also brought us to two small towns in Chianti to explore on our own. Be advised though, that you may end up spending a bundle on wine if you're not careful! We highly recommend Massimo for a tour of wine country.
