Fun in Florence. A tour for families

We had had multiple tour guides throughout our trip in Italy, and Catherine was hands down the best we’ve had. Engaging for adults and children and added history, culture and interesting stories. I would strongly recommend this tour (any of her tours) to anyone.

We had a great tour with Catherine! She was flexible with tailoring to our needs and gave us a great overview of Florence, complete with little facts and interesting tidbits, without us feeling like we did the typical 'drive by' tour that most groups do. My husband and 2 teenagers (16/18) and I were on a cruise so our timeline was tight. Catherine was great about working in the right sights... she even held the attention of teenagers with jet lag :-)

Catherine was absolutely amazing! We spent a generous 3.5 hours with her, and the time flew by. She has a remarkable gift for weaving historical context into fascinating stories that bring Florence, its art, and its history vividly to life. Rather than simply presenting facts, she created an experience that was engaging, memorable, and genuinely captivating. Her explanation of Michelangelo’s David was particularly extraordinary. The depth of knowledge she shared, combined with her storytelling ability, gave us an appreciation for the masterpiece that we never could have gained on our own. It was one of the highlights of our entire trip. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully Catherine engaged our 13-year-old son throughout the tour. History can be a tough sell for teenagers, but Catherine made it come alive. I was shocked (and delighted!) when our son spent ten minutes enthusiastically explaining what he had learned to a friend back home. That’s a testament to how memorable and impactful the experience was. For families wondering whether their children will enjoy the tour, I can confidently say that ours did. Catherine made the experience just as enjoyable and meaningful for him as it was for the adults. As an added bonus, her restaurant recommendations were outstanding. We followed several of them, and they turned out to be among the very best meals we had in Italy. If you’re considering this tour, don’t hesitate. It was worth every minute and every euro. Catherine’s knowledge, passion, storytelling, and ability to connect with a range of ages made this one of the most memorable experiences of our time in Florence. Highly recommended!

Catherine was a great guide. We did not have a lot of time but she covered all the high spots in Florence. She even managed to squeeze in a gelato stop, and it was the best I had had all week in Italy. I would recommend her highly.

This tour was selected as a family fun tour, but Catherine made it much more. Besides engaging a couple of shy teens, she provided great art history for the adults.

Catherine was an exceptional Guide. Not only was she knowledgeable and created an amazing family tour, she was highly flexible and changed according to the whims of the group. I give her high kudos for an excellent overview of Florence and highly recommend her.!
