I would like to present myself as an expert of Itineraries in Florence and Tuscany. Florence is my base town, but I have lived for a long time in Siena Province, Chianti and San Gimignano. Certainly I have expertise in every corner of Tuscany. I offer and enjoy also giving tours in other destinations in Central Italy Liguria, Emilia, Umbria and Rome. My university formation is in the Fine arts and history. I am a licensed tour guide, tour manager and tour agent. I have followed several other courses in languages, wine production and Italian food. My professional experiences were for long time in art galleries. As a child, I traveled a lot with my family, as student I liked the idea of being an expert and knowledgeable tour guide. My passion for art, history, outdoor living, landscapes, cuisine made this possible in my mature age. That is how I started in 2009 my experience as a tour guide. I worked as free lance for several local companies based in Florence. Since 2016 I am promoting my services on this Platform ToursByLocals. I have no words to explain how great experience it has been since than. As of today, I prefer giving guided tours in the museums of Florence. But, I am passionate of exploring surroundings, towns, villages or trails off the beaten paths. My regular tours are result of experience . They are well balanced in order to provide to you the most relevant information and awake positive impressions and sensations. I am ready to listen and to shape the choice of the schedules, itineraries, the pace or the stops in a common agreement, when reasonably convenient and possible. One of the top destinations in Italy 5 Terre National Park, a pictoresque place can be reached from Florence in 2 hrs by the highway A11. From April to November is the best season, but it is acceptable all year round. Sightseeing, nature, landscapes, open air, sea, architecture, ancient cobbler streets, shopping. . . When long warm days, cliffs and a sand beach are accessible. There is a good choice of restaurants. If you have any personal request or ideas about this excursion let me know before. I have given this tour for years. Via dell'Amore, 25 min walking path may be incl. The itinerary will include 3 towns and 1/2 last optionally, depending on season/weather conditions, skill. Optionally may include trekking path or a short stop at Pisa, on the way back. If you are sharing these thoughts, join me on this wonderful trip, one of my favorites. When you think of the Italian coast this is that tour. Sinisa was personable, like he was our uncle, showing us around but with a benefit of being an artist, local and super knowledge of the history. If it wasn't for his mastery of the area&locals we would have missed out on lunch, but it was fabulous and since they stayed open for us we had opportunity to meet and speak with owners. Only downside was the weather turned really foggy while On the mountain road to each town. Scary! but This was Italy!
- Dept AM 8 - Arrival 2 hrs La Spezia, Park of 5 Terre - Either by a train from La Spezia, or by car Manarola. - Riomaggiore is optional stop, via dell'Amore and costs 10 e pp. - 1 hour at Manarola. Scenic paths cobbler street view, the bay. A picturesque place where a small but extremely charming bay is available for the first sunbath at 5 Terre, and a swim in the hot days, if requested. Only on request from here available trekking routes. - Next visit will be to Monterosso. Long promenade along the bay will be the first part. Then we will have free time for a lunch , sitting in a restaurant, if requested. Many shops for curious travelers. - Vernazza appears as a small merchant port. - Corniglia is included only when trekking option is requested - Return to La Spezia. - Return to Florence from 6.30 pm to max by 8 pm.
