Ciao, I'm Stefano. A true Tuscan and Florentine local. Born and raised here in Tuscany, in a cold and sunny day of December 1982. I grew up with my grandparents in a place called Fucecchio just 30 mins away from Florence. I learned from my farmers grandparents, love for my land and passion for wines. My first grape harvest that I remember it was when I was 3 years old and of course I pressed grapes with my feet. Since than wines and farming are part of my life and . . . I am a Wine and Beer licesend SOMMELIER since in 2017. I believe in "mente santa and corpore sano", it means healthy mind in helthy body. The only way to really appreciate and taste food and wine. I love trail running and gravel bike riding, in my recent past I was competing in short distances, up to ultra marathons. My bike is called Hildebranda and my van is called Parceval. I have 2 litte girls of 12 and 8 years old. My wife is scottish so I speak english everyday for living. Now it has been 15 years or more that I live in florence, in different neighborhoods to experience the city at its best. For my last 12 years I lead tours in Tuscany, Cinque Terre and Chianti Classico. I did vespa tours and Fiat 500 tours, wine and food experiences and bike tours. I am a LICENSED EXPERT HIKING/BIKING GUIDE for hikes and adventures in the hills around Florence, Tuscany and Cinque terre. I love to organise also MULTIDAYS tours biking, hiking or driving in TUSCANY, UMBRIA and CINQUE TERRE. I love old pilgrimage roads, perfect fro gravel bike rides, so cool. I have organised multidays gravel biking trip like Florence to Rome, or Florence to Assisi or Assisi to Rome, amazing bike rides. I love jumping into new adventures and so I am also an ACTOR for tv commercials for toys , wines and anything I think it worth to advertise with my face. I did theater for few years and this helped me a lot to be a tv commercial actor. Last but not least I have a UNIVERSITY DEGREE in tourism Business with a Thesis in Social tourism - Impacts of tourism in different societies. One of the classic day trips from Florence, visiting the magnificient Cinque terre National Park. I will drive you to the Cinque terre from Florence with my comfortable van. Discovering by foot the incredible beauty of the Cinque Terre, 5 little villages along the coastline and more little towns settled on the hills. Stefano was a wonderful guide. Our group was older and I had a broken foot in a cast. He accommodated my limits and we were able to visit 4 of the 5 villages of Cinque Terrace by some easy walking, taking the train and the ferry boat between the villages. He picked us up and dropped us off at the cruise port which was a 1.5 hour ride each way. He was a great cautious driver. A very personable great guy and guide.
I highly recommend booking this tour with Stefano. He is Absolutely The Best!!! He was able to adjust the tour to our needs. He’s extremely fun, full of energy, enthusiastic and everyone he meets loves him. This was the second tour we took with him. The previous day was a bike ride and wine tasting through Tuscany. That was the highlight of our two week trip. Cinque Terre with Stefano was our second favorite dar. We are in our 60’s and brought out two girls and their husbands who are in their 30’s He made the tour wonderful for all 6 of us. I wish we could have brought him on our entire two week tour!!!! I highly recommend him. He was the absolute best!!!
Stefano is a fantastic guide. He is local and knows the area so well. He picked us up early and dropped us off in a narrow street at our new apartment without hitting the building -so impressive. Besides his great driving skills - -he is real, knows the people in Cinque Terre, the best restaurants with views but with amazing food too! Cinque Terre is unique and quaint with such history. Stefano gave us so many details on the locale and easily navigated us from driving, to walking, to trains & ferry rides. BOOK WITH HIM - you won't regret it!
Stefano is a fantastic guide! My husband and I had the best day hiking Cinque Terre with him. He knows this area well and how to arrange the day around what trails are open, train times, boat schedules and even setting up a reservation for lunch! He prepared the perfect day from pick up and to delivery back to our hotel in Florence, every detail of the day was just what I had hoped for. He selected a great lunch spot for us with a perfect view overlooking the coast and great food. We had a 10-star day! Thank you again Stafano, you are the best!
PERFECT DAY!!!!! Stefano is an absolute joy. He knows everyone and everything in and about Cinque Terre. He expertly was able to gauge our abilities and energy levels (age range from 46-82 years old on this tour), and paced it just right. Highly recommend!
A fantastic experience! Stefano took care of everything. He was professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. The terrain was tough on the downhill side, but the views were well worth it! Lunch in Vernazza was a great recommendation. It was a wonderful day!
Leave Florence in the morning with a comfortable van to reach the Cinque Terre National Park. We will stop in Manarola, the second of the five villages. Explore this iconic town with its magnificent harbor before moving to the next town, Corniglia, by train. This is the smallest and the least trafficked of all five towns. From Corniglia, we will move forward to the next town by hiking along the coast. Reaching Vernazza on foot is magnificent — a true pleasure for the eyes. 4 km along the coast with rocky stairs, last aorund 1 hour and 15 mins In Vernazza, we’ll enjoy lunch and take a moment to relax, perhaps with a glass of wine. From Vernazza, we’ll continue to Monterosso, where we will take a boat ride (depending on sea conditions).
