I'm a local, born and raised in Iceland. I've spent most of my life in the Reykjavík area, with 10 years in Akureyri, North Iceland. I've also lived abroad in Norway, the United States, and Brussels, Belgium, where my two daughters were born. These experiences have shaped how I see my country and how I enjoy sharing it with others. When I'm not guiding, I'm a proud dad of two football-loving (soccer-loving for my U.S. clients) daughters (ages 12 and 15), which makes me a dedicated soccer dad in my free time. I love hiking and have explored all of Iceland's most popular routes, giving me a deep, practical knowledge of the country's landscapes and hidden corners. By background, I'm a political scientist and have spent most of my career working in government. Four years ago, I decided to turn a long-held dream into reality and trained as a licensed guide while still working full-time. I also earned a commercial driving license, allowing me to offer seamless driver-guide services. Since making the switch, I've never looked back. I genuinely enjoy introducing guests to Iceland's nature, history, and culture in a relaxed, fun, and engaging way. My tours are fully customizable and centred on excellent service. My goal is for guests to feel safe, well cared for, and to leave with both knowledge and great memories. I guide in a Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer, a comfortable mid-sized van with room for luggage. It accommodates up to seven passengers, though five is ideal for maximum comfort. Airport and cruise terminal transfers are available, and larger vehicles can be arranged if needed. When you book with me, the day is yours. Some guests prefer the shortest return to Reykjavík, while others enjoy adding extra stops along the way. I'm flexible and happy to adjust as we go. If you have ideas or special interests, feel free to get in touch. I'm always happy to help design a tour that fits you perfectly.

Embark on this adventure with me to discover the wonders of the South Coast of Iceland and to visit the southernmost village on the Icelandic mainland (110 miles away from Reykjavik!). South Iceland is one of the most popular parts of the country for travellers, given that it's lined with countless natural wonders, including volcanoes, glaciers, cascading waterfalls and black sand beaches. We'll be visiting a black sand beach on this tour, which features basalt columns and the dramatic Reynisdrangar sea stacks, formed by ancient volcanic rock. Among this attractions is also the outlet glacier of the mighty Myrdalsjokull icecap on top of the Katla volcano, which we'll also visit. Since this is a private tour, you could always opt to stay a bit longer in any of the places we visit if you're really taken by it.
-After picking you up from an agreed spot, we'll depart to the Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where a pathway will allow us to walk behind the cascading water. -We'll then continue to Skogafoss waterfall, one of Iceland’s biggest and most beautiful falls, with an astounding width of 25 meters (82 feet) and a drop of 60 meters (197 feet). -Next, we'll reach the Solheimajokull Glacier, taking a short hike to its main viewing point and back, which should also take us around an hour. -We'll then make a stop for lunch at Vik í Myrdal. -Following this, we'd head to Reynisfjara, a world-famous black-sand beach, where we'd be staying around half an hour contemplating its one of a kind basaltic scenery. -At last, I'll drop you off back where I picked you up from or a different place of your choice.

Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer model 2022, yet the the more extended version of the model, so there's enough space for luggage if needed. The van is 4WD, which is often good to have in the wintertime here in Iceland. If you needed a bigger car/bus, I could deliver the tour on a Mercedes Sprinter for an additional cost so please contact me before booking if you'd like to request it.
