I love glaciers, and I love volcanoes. I like to hike onto them, I like to look at them, and overall, I just love the feeling of living next to them. This is definitely my favorite thing about the Icelandic South Coast: it is the home of several glacier-covered volcanoes, which are among the most powerful volcanoes in Iceland! The South Coast also displays some of the most beautiful and famous waterfalls in Iceland. And if the sheer cliffs, the glacier, and the waterfalls are absolutely gorgeous, it truly is the colors and contrasts that are making the South Coast of Iceland so special: Ice is white, the ocean is blue, vegetation is green, and rocks, sand, and gravels are volcanic black. If you would come in June, when the lupines are blooming, purple fields are visible as far as your eye can see. Also home to abundant bird life, in the summer, with dozens and dozens of species of migrating birds coming to nest on the cliffs (including puffins!), the Icelandic South Coast is by all means, a magical place.
·After picking you up from your lodging, our 1st stop will be the waterfall of Seljalandsfoss. This waterfall of 60m (180 ft) high is one of the most famous in Iceland, and located just by the ring road. Except for the winter months, it's possible to walk behind and around the waterfall. ·Our following stop will also be a waterfall, Skógafoss. This one's just as high as the 1st, but you can't walk behind it. Although, a legend says that a giant hid a treasure behind. If you dare the 400 steps climb to a viewing platform at the top, the view from there is absolutely stunning. ·We'll then head to the Black Sand Beach of Reynisfjara, a filming location of Game of Thrones (The Dragon Glass Cave) and an absolutely stunning beach with caves, basaltic columns, sea pillars, and birdlife, including puffins in the summertime! ·We'll also take a walk to a viewing platform, offering the best panorama, on a volcanic ash-covered glacier: Sólheimajökull. ·At last, we'll drive back. This itinerary could be customized.

You can choose between two types of transportation for appropriate costs: This tour is budgeted for a very comfortable Volkswagen Multivan with A/C from 2016 for up to 6 people. I also have a Toyota Land Cruiser from 2021, mounted on 33 inches tyres and with snorkel. This one comes at an extra cost (please contact me) and can sit 3 people very comfortably.
