I'm a local guide in the Reykjavik Area, born and raised mostly in the rural parts of Iceland. I spend most of my free time with my family, fishing or hunting birds in the wilderness of Iceland. I have been guiding for about ten years along with other jobs such as a police officer, commercial fisherman, metal fabricator and many other jobs. I recently decided to devote all my time to guide travelers around my beautiful island as it's the most fun job I've ever had! I love all the tours I do but I think that chasing the Northern Lights is my favorite, it's challenging and there is no guarantee for success so the reward when I find them is addictive and intoxicating. I own a few 19 passenger minibuses and I also have a Tesla Y that I use for tours. I love the nature of Iceland and that's no wonder as the people that travel here usually come to experience that. Although Reykjavík is a nice cozy city I always feel a sense of relief driving away from it and in to the more rural parts of Iceland for the next adventure. I try to give people the experience of freedom and awe on my tours, experiencing the quiet majesty of nature and the solitude of travelling in the most sparsely populated country in Europe. I always welcome any suggestions for customized tours because it's always fun doing things a little bit differently, so if you have any ideas please contact me and I'll see if we can create your perfect tour. People sometimes refer to this excursion as the "all in one" tour as we see many of the things that make Iceland unique. It's a long day but it's worth it. We will see black sand beaches, the famous Kirkjufell mountain, drive through the Snæfellsnes national park with the Snæfellsjökull volcano looming over us. Snæfellsjökull was the entrance to the center of the world in the famous Jules Verne story. Lots of folklore surround this mythical region of iceland including Bárður Snæfellsáss, the demigod protector of seafarers and glacier goers. We will see strange rock formations in the ocean, a product of volcanic eruptions and ocean erosion, but local folklore has a different story to say about them. You can try your strength by seeing the heaviest stone you can lift and that used to be an estimate for how strong the Vikings were, are you as strong as a viking? Stop and fill your bottles at a fountain coming out of a cold spring that naturally produces carbonated water, it's one of a kind in the world.
