My name is Bjorn and I was born and raised in Iceland, and I know my country well by experience. I am a Certified Guide and I have a passion for traveling and I use every chance I get to travel whether it's in Iceland or abroad. I'm a friendly and outgoing person and I love meeting and talking to people. I live in Reykjavik with my family and I've lived in the Reykjavik area my whole life, which I love but I take every chance I get to travel to the countryside and enjoy the nature with my camera in hand. I am an amateur photographer and I don't think I could be luckier with a country to live in since everywhere you look is a photo waiting to be taking. It's a photographer's paradise. Experiencing Iceland with a local guide truly is a great way to get the most out of your adventure. I drive an Audi Q7 e-tron which offers great comfort for up to 4 passengers or a Toyota Proace Verso that suits up to 7 passengers. Going with a professional driver who knows his country and conditions well is a good way to travel since weather conditions in Iceland in the winter time can be harsh and unpredictable. Iceland truly is an amazing and fascinating country with breathtaking scenery and untouched nature and I want you to enjoy it to the fullest and have a save and the most authentic experience as possible. During my university studies I did an exchange year in Vienna, Austria and there I made a lot of friends from all over the world. I've been lucky enough to have some of them visit me here in Iceland and it was then when I discovered my passion for introducing Iceland to visitors. It is a privilege for me to be an Iceland guide and it is very important to me to make your Iceland trip unique and unforgettable. I am flexible and I listen to your wishes and if you have any special interests or hobbies I will do anything I can to accommodate it and incorporate it to your tour. I look forward to welcoming and showing you Iceland! - Certified Guide. - Licensed Professional driver. - First aid course. - Fully licensed vehicle by the Icelandic Transport Authority. - Owner of Cool Travel Iceland, a Fully licensed DMC/Travel Agency by the Icelandic Tourist Board. - BSc Degree in Business from Bifrost University.

Is your flight arriving early and your accommodation check in not until in the afternoon? Or you simply want to make the most of your arrival day? Why not hit the ground running and use your valuable time to the fullest! In this tour I will pick you up at the airport and take you around the city and show you all of its highlights. After the tour you will be dropped off at your accommodation in Reykjavik. As long as time allows we will show you all the main sights and landmarks and give you a chance to visit some local museums if you are interested. Reykjavik is known for its colorful houses and it was the home of the first permanent settlements in Iceland. Reykjavik actually means smokey bay since that is what the viking Ingolfur Arnarson founder of the city first saw, steam rising up from the hot springs when he stepped into the land. It is a small city but what it lacks in size it makes up by its quirkiness and by being interesting and different from most other European cities.
I will pick you up at the airport and take you to Reykjavik where I will guide you around and you will get to know the city, the world's most northerly capital! The highlights you will be seeing and visiting: - Laugavegur main shopping street - Hallgrimskirkja Church - Harpan Concert House - Sun Voyager Viking Ship - Hofdi House - Grotta Lighthouse - Perlan (e. The Pearl) - The president's House - Reykjavik City Hall - The Old Harbour If you are interested and time allows to visit some museums, here are a few I recommend: The Whale Museum The Aurora Reykjavik Reykjavik Maritime Museum The Settlement Exhibition National Museum of Iceland Ice cave exhibition Saga Museum I am flexible and will listen to all your wishes and needs and adapt the tour to your liking. As soon as you book the tour you can contact me and let me know if there are any particular preferences about the tour or discuss it with me after we meet.
