Dear Traveler, my name is Lucía. I grew up in Madrid, the capital of Spain, surrounded by family from many parts of the world: my paternal grandparents from the Canary Islands and the south of the Spanish peninsula, and my maternal grandparents from Germany and Austria, who met as a result of the Second World War. The economic situation in Spain 15 years ago made me want to finish my studies in Germany. I graduated in Art, Design and Photography in Munich, where I've been working as a tour guide for 14 years, showing people all over Bavaria and Austria. In 2012, I became an official licensed tour guide at the Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial, a subject that has always interested me due to my family history. During the pandemic I returned to the world of photography and design, working in a marketing agency, but it became very clear to me that my thing was contact with people, helping them to know better the city where I live and collaborating with the historical memory of a tragic period in the history of humanity from which we must learn, so when the pandemic ended I returned to tourism and decided to focus on the history of the Second World War. As far as my tours are concerned, in this world where everything goes very fast and there is a constant overload of stimuli, I think it is important to take a break and see and understand things calmly. That is why I like to explore the city of Munich as well as historically charged places like Dachau in a calm and empathic way. If you also enjoy exploring things at a slower pace and from a deeper, less superficial perspective - avoiding the typical highlights found in every guidebook or website - I would love to show you around the capital of Bavaria and its historical landmarks!

Discover Munich’s history and beauty at your own pace. Founded over 850 years ago, Munich is a city with a fascinating history. The city has witnessed centuries of royal heritage, political change, and cultural transformation. It played a central role in Bavaria’s monarchy and, tragically, became a focal point of the rise of National Socialism in the 20th century. Today, Munich blends its historical charm with a modern, dynamic atmosphere. With over a decade of experience as a guide, I work to provide a relaxed and personalized tour tailored to your interests. You’ll enjoy a unique experience, where we’ll not only explore the city’s history but also discuss its current situation: its challenges, its successes, and how locals live today. If you're looking for an unhurried, enjoyable tour, this is the one for you.
Unless specified otherwise, the tour will start at Marienplatz. We’ll walk for about 3 hours, visiting the following highlights: • Marienplatz • Frauenkirche – If there’s no mass, we can enter and take a look at no additional cost. • Fünf Höfe • Odeonsplatz – A square of deep historical significance, touching on Munich’s role as the capital of National Socialism. • The Royal Residence • Maximilianstr. – Munich's luxury street with a display of wealth that may seem out of place. • Hofbräuhaus – The most famous beer hall in Munich. If you'd like to adapt the tour to your interests, feel free to contact me. *While I do my best to make the tour engaging, it may not be ideal for young children, as the pace and topics may not suit them.

The whole tour is a walking tour. The use of public transportation is difficult since the whole area is a pedestrian zone. Comfortable footwear is recommended. Be prepared for all kinds of weather, as we’ll be outdoors for much of the tour.
Marienplatz, München, Bayern, 80331, Germany
If you haven’t specified another meeting point (your hotel if it's in the center), we’ll meet at Marienplatz, right next to the Fish Fountain. I’ll be waiting for you there with a sign with your name. Here is a link with the exact location of the Fish Fountain (Fischbrunnen): https://maps.app.goo.gl/3Uxf2NCour7tJSCx8
