Hey there, thanks for choosing me as your guide. I'm Barbara and was born in Munich. I love its beautiful historical sights, the medieval buildiungs, the food and culture. I give tours in Englisch and German and with my background as a singer/songwriter/stand up comedien, I will not only give you interesting facts and information, but also will make you laugh and have a good time. Please see me as a good friend that is waiting for you. I'm happy to answer your question about Munich, the public transportation from the airport, . . . before our tour! MY FAVORITE PLACES ARE: * Marienplatz (the heart of the Center with beautiful buildings) * Hofbräuhaus (the world famous beerhall with delicious food) * Feldherrenhalle (it has a sad history but looks amazing) * English garten (a huge park that's even bigger than Central Park) * Frauenkirche (an impressive churche which is the symbol of Munich) * St. Pete (the oldest building in Munich) Let me show you this stunning mix of vibrant city life, cool shops on the one hand and medieval buildings and traditional restaurants on the other. I'm looking forward to meeting you! :-) Barbara I have been guiding since summer 2022 but I was born in Munich so I know it very well. I am not a licensed guide at the Concentration Camp Dachau. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

On this tour I will not only tell you all the important information about Hitler and the 3rd Reich, but also show you interesting places and take you to the concentration camp Dachau. If we pass by other highlights of the city, of course you will also learn about them, but the focus will be on the Third Reich. Even though this tour has a very sad background, I still try to entertain you well and show you photos of those places in the early days. There tour will end at the entrance of the concentration camp. Don't worry: EVERYTHING is explained in the very interesting exhibition there. After having given many tours, I decided to let my guests explore this emotional place alone. Of course I will tell you exactly how to get back to your hotel (or where you want to go later)! It's really easy, don't worry!
- We'll meet at your hotel in the center (otherwise at "McDonald's at Karlsplatz Stachus) - We'll see: - Palace of Justice (People were sentenced to death here) - Police Station (Himmler was also the leader of the Munich Police and brought many prisoners here) - Viscardigasse (Shirker's Alley - you could be killed if you walked there) - Feldherrnhalle ( Hitler loved speaking here) - Hofbräuhaus (Hitler founded the NSDAP here) - Former Sternackerbräu restaurant where Hitler met the Nazis for the first time - King's Square (Königsplatz) that was important for the Nazis - Führer's Building - We'll then be taking the train and bus to the Campside (~50 mins. ) where you can spend as much time as you want (it closes at 5pm) The tour ends at the entrance, so that you can explore it as long as you want. There are affordable audio guides available. MOVIE TIPPS: * "Hitler - rise of the evil" (Amazon Prime) * "Munich 1945" (Youtube) * "Schindler's List" (Netflix) * The Devil's Arithmetic ("Amazon Prime")

We will take public transportation (train or bus) to Dachau. I will meet you at your hotel if it is close to the center and then we either walk or take the train into the center. I will let you know what ticket is the best for you depending on your group size and if you want a day ticket or single ride ticket. We need a ticket (Zone M-1) to get to Dachau. There are affordable group tickets for up to 5 people.
