Having completed the world famous 'Knowledge of London' to become a London Taxi driver nearly two decades ago I changed career by becoming a Blue Badge tour guide, this was an 18 month course and involved passing 12 exams!

This is a tour which gives a fantastic introduction to London for first time visitors to London or those short on time who want to see all the famous landmarks in a relatively short period of time.

I am one of only a handful of Blue Badge Tour guides who are also London Black Taxi drivers, having completed the world famous 'Knowledge of London' I can navigate through London's different neighbourhoods' with exclusive access to bus lanes, in addition to which I can use taxi only parking spaces allowing my guests to explore the various areas we travel into. On my taxi tours we see all the major must see sites but also the hidden gems and of course they are able to get amazing pictures from all of the best spots.  

My tours are private, personable and being a Blue Badge holder I can offer a depth of knowledge that will ensure visitors have a true understanding of London's development through the century's to its present day status of being one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.

Half Day London Highlights Taxi Tour with a Blue Badge Guide

We will firstly visit Churchill War Rooms, Westminster Abbey and then go onto the Tower of London.
The War Rooms are where Churchill helped direct the operations during the Second World War, The Abbey being the Coronation Church & full of Royal burials, the Tower was built by William the Conquerer nearly 1000 years ago.

Windsor is the largest and oldest continually occupied castle in the world having been home to the British Royals for almost 1000 years!
We will visit the wonderful state rooms and get up close to the art and antiques collected by the Royal Family through out the centuries. The extraordinary Queen Mary's Dolls House is a must see, as is St George's Chapel which is built in Perpendicular Gothic style unique to Britain & is where Queen Elizabeth II is laid to rest along with Henry VIII, Jane Seymour and many other monarchs, the chapel also hosted the marriage of Harry and Meghan.

While in Windsor we will view Windsor's Royal processional route, the Long Walk and see Eton, the renowned school that educated Prince William, Prince Harry and 20 British Prime Ministers. We will also go on a driving tour to Runnymede, the birthplace of English democracy, where King John sealed the Magna Carta - some what unwillingly!
