Overview of your London tour
Stonehenge is a world-famous prehistoric monument designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and has amazed people for thousands of years, we'll walk around 'The Stones' and discuss the various uses of the site during its long history, a temple - a place of ceremony, of burial and of celebration. The attractive city of Salisbury which received its charter in 1227 is a short distance from Stonehenge & has been an administrative, commercial, and religious centre since medieval times. The cathedral is a fine example of Early English architecture dating from the mid-13th century and houses the best-preserved of the four surviving copies of the Magna Carta, one of the most important documents in the western world.
