My name is David, I have been providing clients with private tours of Scotland since early 2016. I am hugely passionate about Scotland and was born in a small town called Hamilton, just east of Glasgow although I have stayed in Paisley (Scotland's largest town) since 1992. I am extremely fortunate that in 2016 I was able to change my career and become a driver / guide, my dream job.

I drive a very comfortable Mercedes Benz People Carrier which can easily seat up to six guests. My vehicle is equipped with free Wi-Fi, a small refrigerator and a good selection of complementary soft drinks and snacks.
I appreciate my clients might only have a short time to spend in Scotland and I will do my utmost to ensure I meet their requirements; I am totally flexible in my approach and happy to make last minute changes to the itinerary if for example the weather was unkind on the day of the tour.

I offer Day Trips from Glasgow and Greenock Cruise Terminal, to Loch Lomond, Inveraray, Oban (Scotland's seafood capital) Glencoe, Stirling, The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. However, do feel free to get in touch if you have a specific requirement to visit a particular place and I will do my very best to accommodate you.

Every tour I offer can be amended to meet my client's specific requirements. It's extremely important to me that I don't just provide "standard" tours, I like to engage with my customers and plan every tour around their specific needs and requirements.

I have full Public Liability insurance and Chauffeur Insurance (mandatory in the UK) On request I can provide child car seats and also a portable step to assist any clients with mobility issues.
Covid-19 Vaccinations - I am fully vaccinated as per the Scottish Government guidance.

The rates quoted for all my tours exclude any entry fees that you may incur during the tour.
We provide free refreshments but meals are excluded from the published rates.

Glasgow is my home town and the home of some of Scotland's best cultural attractions and best of all, many of them are free to enter!

As a child my father would regularly take me around the most famous sights in Glasgow, it didn't matter if it was good weather or bad, we just spent more time inside some of the fantastic building if the weather was poor. Alternatively if the weather was good, I got the opportunity to appreciate the amazing outdoor attractions.

We can tailor this tour to meet your specific requirements, either quick sightseeing tour encompassing most of Glasgow's major attractions or alternatively we can select a few stops relative to your particular interests and spend some time appreciating the beautiful buildings and historical culture of Glasgow.

The tour would commence from your city centre hotel, a pre agreed location, or from The Greenock Cruise Terminal in an extremely comfortable Mercedes Benz People Carrier, with elevated seats providing unrestricted views along the tour route.

Private Guided Tour of Glasgow 6 Hours

I will take you to Ayr and to Alloway, the birthplace of Robert Burns where he wrote "Auld Lang Syne". We will visit his home and the new Robert Burns Experience Visitors Centre.

It's also the place were I was born, so I guarantee lots of great storytelling from me! I lived next to a huge US air base some years ago. Just missed Elvis as he landed at the base. Now that is a good story!

We will go to the "Brig'o'Doon" (bridge over the River Doon) and see the "Auld Kirk" from Tam O'Shanter (one of Burns best known poems). We will visit Culzean Castle, a real Scottish castle!. President Eisenhower stayed here. The National Trust for Scotland own Culzean Castle and as I am a member the admission to the estate is free of charge however there is a charge to see the interior of the castle

Ayr & Culzean Castle Full Day Tour

We will travel the short distance from Greenock or Glasgow to Largs where you will see an unspoilt taste of what seaside holidays used to be like in the UK.

A trip to Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae (10 minutes on a ferry) sees an island that time has forgotten. Another seaside town but back to the fifties. Both places are very restful.

I used to come here when I was a boy. I would hire a bicycle and go right round the island ten miles in total.

Lunch can be had in Nardinis a 1930s Italian cafe which is a unique experience. Award winning Italian ice cream. The drive to Largs is stunning and the whole experience is very charming.

The smallest cathedral in the UK is here and Elton John's "Crocodile Rock". How good is that? I am told it's true! Anyway it's a rock that looks like a crocodile!
