My name is David, I have been providing clients with private tours of Scotland since early 2016. I am hugely passionate about Scotland and was born in a small town called Hamilton, just east of Glasgow although I have stayed in Paisley (Scotland's largest town) since 1992. I am extremely fortunate that in 2016 I was able to change my career and become a driver / guide, my dream job. I drive a very comfortable Mercedes Benz People Carrier which can easily seat up to six guests. My vehicle is equipped with free Wi-Fi, a small refrigerator and a good selection of complementary soft drinks and snacks. I appreciate my clients might only have a short time to spend in Scotland and I will do my utmost to ensure I meet their requirements; I am totally flexible in my approach and happy to make last minute changes to the itinerary if for example the weather was unkind on the day of the tour. I offer Day Trips from Glasgow and Greenock Cruise Terminal, to Loch Lomond, Inveraray, Oban (Scotland's seafood capital) Glencoe, Stirling, The Kelpies and the Falkirk Wheel. However, do feel free to get in touch if you have a specific requirement to visit a particular place and I will do my very best to accommodate you. Every tour I offer can be amended to meet my client's specific requirements. It's extremely important to me that I don't just provide "standard" tours, I like to engage with my customers and plan every tour around their specific needs and requirements. I have full Public Liability insurance and Chauffeur Insurance (mandatory in the UK) On request I can provide child car seats and also a portable step to assist any clients with mobility issues. Covid-19 Vaccinations - I am fully vaccinated as per the Scottish Government guidance. The rates quoted for all my tours exclude any entry fees that you may incur during the tour. We provide free refreshments but meals are excluded from the published rates.

Overview of your Greenock tour

Glasgow is my home town and the home of some of Scotland's best cultural attractions and best of all, many of them are free to enter! As a child my father would regularly take me around the most famous sights in Glasgow, it didn't matter if it was good weather or bad, we just spent more time inside some of the fantastic building if the weather was poor. Alternatively if the weather was good, I got the opportunity to appreciate the amazing outdoor attractions. We can tailor this tour to meet your specific requirements, either quick sightseeing tour encompassing most of Glasgow's major attractions or alternatively we can select a few stops relative to your particular interests and spend some time appreciating the beautiful buildings and historical culture of Glasgow. The tour would commence from your city centre hotel, a pre agreed location, or from The Greenock Cruise Terminal in an extremely comfortable Mercedes Benz People Carrier, with elevated seats providing unrestricted views along the tour route.

This being our first trip to Scotland, choosing David as our guide was one of the best decisions we could have made in planning our trip. Traveling with our 3 young adult grandsons and having 3 days in Glasgow before meeting up with our granddaughter in the Highlands gave us a perfect amount of time to explore. David with his joyful and enthusiastic personality and his wealth of knowledge of Scotland made our 3 days wonderful. With a bit of our own input and great suggestions from David our tours with him could not have been more perfect. David was especially mindful to plan outings that our grandsons would especially enjoy, and they surely did. Riding in his roomy, very comfortable 7 passenger van also made our travels that much more pleasant. Thank you again David! Warm Regards, The Seidner's

David is the best tour guide you could imagine. Worked with me to customize our itinerary and then adjusted it on the fly when we decided on some tweaks. He is a great narrator and good conversationalist with a clear, loud voice. His van is clean and comfortable and included snacks and water. 5 stars in every regard.

David was so accommodating and helpful from the beginning. I was looking for an experience for my mom and aunt while my dad and I went to golf a round of a lifetime. I was worried about leaving them for that long and making sure that they had an equivalent experience. Immediately after contacting him, I knew David was my guy to make me comfortable. Commentary from the “tour” team: Right from the start he asked what our interests were and curated the tour accordingly. He was well-versed and enthusiastic. His personality was charming and it was clear that he was well-respected among the community and his peers. The authentic dress was also an appreciated touch (by others tourists too). David is definitely one of Scotland’s finest. Thank you for everything!

Arranged a private transport from Glasgow to Edinburgh to include stops at The Kelpies and Roslyn Chapel. David met us at our hotel and the trip from there was absolutely the best! David was professional and knowledgeable, offering our group many tidbits of information. This was such a great experience that we booked a second private tour with him!
