This was a great day visiting an interesting and beautiful area, historic churches and monasteries, an interesting and thought provoking visit to the Cultural Center and a chance to see handicrafts being made (bought a couple of items). Thank you, Michael for your stars and nice comment. Your grandfather was the part of the history created by the people living in this area. I wonder only if his mother also made beer soup. Best wishes to your wife and son.

Thank you MIchael for further stars. I noticed that you were very and seriously involved in the search and I was happy to try to help. Your family has deep roots in the area we visited, and I hope this visit will allow you to learn more about its history and diaspora. It was very nice and interesting time also for me. I wish you further interesting "finds". Remember me...

However, I think it was worth seeing both Gierłoż (Wolfschanze) and Mamerki (Mauerwald). Despite your fatigue, you managed to climb the tall observation tower without difficulty. We admired...
