Hi, I'm Rulesby, a Peruvian tour guide who has traveled all over the country. My career as a guide began at the age of 17 in a protected natural area in northern Peru and eventually brought me to Lima, where I moved in search of opportunities for personal and professional growth. I truly love my job and always strive to help tourists experience Peru exactly as it is, without any filters. Over the years, I’ve learned (and continue to learn) things that aren’t found in books. To me, a unique tour experience means offering pleasant company that goes beyond simply sharing information and taking good care of tourists. As for my personal interests, I love to travel—I’ve been traveling alone since I came of age, first in Peru and now throughout South America. During the pandemic, I volunteered for environmental causes and as a children’s reading mentor. I want to be a tour guide for as long as I can, start my own businesses—especially in the tourism sector—and get involved in politics in the future to help promote the formalization of the tourism industry in my country, as well as improve working conditions for all tour guides in my country.
