Guide #46171
Hola! My name is Mila, and I was born and raised in the city of Lima. My parents arrived in the 80s from the northern coast of Peru, so my life has always been deeply connected to the historical and cultural heritage of the North. After finishing high school, I studied Drawing and Painting at the School of Fine Arts in Lima. I’ve always loved art in all its forms. I’ve worked in several museums across Lima, both as a local guide and as an educational program designer. I’ve been guiding Lima City for over ten years, always from a human-centered perspective. I design my tourism experiences with care for the impact they have on the host community. I am one of the few official guides in Lima City who specialize in Indigenous Folk Art. In 2022, I created the Indigenous Shipibo Art Experience, in collaboration with master women artisans from the Shipibo-Konibo Amazon ethnic group based in Lima. I love sharing the micro-stories treasured by these artisan guardians. They are a living heritage. I guide throughout the entire city of Lima—from the Port of Callao to its most privileged districts, and into the lesser-known or often overlooked neighborhoods. As an heir to Peru’s northern cultures, I’ll share with you the rich legacy of the great Mochica, Chimú, and Tallán civilizations that flourished long before the Incas, as well as Afro-Andean root of this part of the Country, a blend of influences that shape the vibrant fabric of modern Peruvian culture. My specialty is Lima, its colors, social and cultural diversity, food, markets, artists, and artisans. Since I love education, my tours are perfect for children and families, too. I invite you to discover with me the capital of the most diverse country in the world: Lima, Peru. • I am an Official Tour Guide of Perú • Sustainable Tourism Specialist from the Catholic University • Psychology student at the Antonio Ruiz de Montoya University • Artist from the National School of Fine Arts • Activist for Amazonian Indigenous Communities

Milagro was wonderful; she was flexible and ensured the tour was what we wanted. She explained so much about the artisans and their culture and artistry, and it was fascinating to interact with these lovely ladies of the village. I highly recommend Milagro and this tour if you are interested in learning about other cultures. It is a very unique opportunity.

I also had a wonderful time with you all, I will always remember you.
I asked Milagro to arrange a tour to the Shipibo Konibo village outside Lima to include time at the village school, it was the highlight of our trip. I have been talking about Milagro, our tour guide to all my friends. I was looking for a graffiti tour with a little bit of customization. After reading Milagro's bio I thought she would be perfect. Well, she EXCEEDED my expectation. With the limited amount of time we had she gave us an excellent overview of graffiti art and history in the area. She showed us...
