Hello! I’m Ikuko. I live in Kanagawa Pref., next to Tokyo. After graduating from an University, with a major in English literature, in Kyoto, I started my career in Tokyo. Working as a bilingual secretary, my non-Japanese colleagues made me notice how unique our culture was and finally I passed a National English Tour Guide-Interpreter exam in 2008. Now I'm working as a guide in Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefectures. Tokyo is an amazing city where you can enjoy modern Japan, as well as the collaboration between something old and modern. Also, Kanagawa has fascinating sight seeing spots including Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. FYI, in southern part of Kanagawa, early-blooming cherry trees usually start blooming late January. In my free time, I enjoy Japanese embroidery, going hiking, Kintsugi fixing, and bamboo works.
