Hello! I’m Ikuko. I live in Kanagawa Pref., next to Tokyo. After graduating from Doshisha University, with a major in English literature, in Kyoto, I started my career in Tokyo. Working as a bilingual secretary, my non-Japanese colleagues made me notice how unique our culture was and finally I passed a National English Tour Guide-Interpreter exam in 2008. Now I'm working as a guide in Tokyo and Kanagawa Prefectures. Tokyo is an amazing city where you can enjoy modern Japan, as well as the collaboration between something old and modern. Also, Kanagawa has fascinating sight seeing spots including Hakone, Kamakura, Enoshima and Yokohama. FYI, in southern part of Kanagawa, early-blooming cherry trees usually start blooming late January. In my free time, I enjoy Japanese embroidery, going hiking, Kintsugi fixing, and bamboo works. Incidentally, I'm happy to customize the tour upon your request and it's possible to modify the fixed tours as you like. Please click the tour and send me a message first!

After arriving at the cruise terminal, why don't you take a day trip to Kamakura, the city of Samurai worriers in 12C-early 14C, for refreshment? Tokyo is a good access to Kamakura;it's almost 50 minutes' train ride from the central of Tokyo. You would be astonished by Great Buddha; an icon of Kamakura, enjoy shopping and street food on Komachi Street and appreciate Japanese paintings in Meiji era in the cozy museum. FYI, Hase Temple could be possible to switch to another temple upon request. This is a tour of 9:00AM - 5:00PM, but starting time is negotiable to meet your arrival time.
① Meeting at Tokyo International Cruise Terminal and move to JR Shimbashi Station to take a train to Kamakura → ② Great Buddha → ③ Hase Temple → ④ Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shinto Shrine → ⑤Komachi Street → ⑥Kaburagi Museum, Modern Japanese Paintings (closed on Mondays) → Leaving Kamakura Station around at 15:20 to arrive at the Cruise Terminal around 16:30
