Hi! My name is Matteo, born and raised in Rome on March 20th, 1991. I’ve been working as a tour guide since I was 25, combining my love for travel and history with the joy of sharing stories. I studied Languages and Cultural Mediation, as well as History, which deepened my understanding of communication, cultures, and the ancient world around me. Growing up surrounded by ruins and timeless art sparked my curiosity for the past and shaped the way I see the world today. Guiding people through my city isn’t just a job—it’s a way to connect cultures, exchange experiences, and keep history alive every day. If my calendar appears unavailable, please contact me anyway. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. I provide pick-up and drop-off at the hotel or port via the driver. I’ll meet you at the meeting point. I have visited the Vatican, and St Peter’s Basilica several times on tours, but had never visited the Pope Mobile or the Museum. The tour was positively the best tour I have taken of Vatican City. Matteo explained so many things, and pointed out what to look for in the Sistine Chapel.. I would highly recommend Matteo if you are planning on visiting Vatican City.

Quite disappointing. We paid almost $650 (USD) for a tour that seemed rushed. It included nothing other the ticket to the Colosseum and Palatine Hill/Roman Forum. Hi Leonard, Thank you for your feedback. I’m sorry the experience did not meet your expectations. Your tour included Arena access, part of the Full Experience ticket, which is more expensive and difficult to secure than standard entry. The tour lasted the scheduled 3.5 hours and covered all included sites. The start time change was agreed due to ticket availability. I’m...
