First of all its picturesque geographical location along the two sides of the River Danube: hills, plains, and even an island! You can enjoy all of this in and around the city center. Its long and turbulent history, diverse architecture, and little, hidden details make the city even more exciting. Looking for a cool shelter from the summer heat under shady trees or walking through the hustle and bustle of a Christmas market we travel back in time and try to imagine what life was like in the old days. While hearing the laughter of children from playgrounds, watching puppies running around the parks, smelling the cinnamon scent of the Chimney Cake, or tasting a delicious "langos", today's Budapest comes closer to you. Our day with Dalia went by quickly. She was well prepared and brought a handy notebook of photos, graphics and historical details that provide additional insight into what we were seeing. She communicated in a thoughtful and thorough manner and was genuinely interested in our questions and observations. This was our first day in Budapest and she made it a memorable one....

Dalia was excellent! This was our first trip to Budapest and Dalia did a fantastic job of setting the stage before we left the hotel to give us some general background on Hungarian history. We then walked all over Buda and took the bus and tram over to the Pest side where we continued to learn about some of the more modern history of the city. Seeing the shoes monument...
