Hello, please let me introduce myself. I'm John Mc. I was born and lived most of my life in Edinburgh. I'm a fully qualified taxi driver in Edinburgh with over 20 years experience . I'm a fully accredited tour guide for Edinburgh I have completed the worshipful company of Hackney Carriage Drivers tour course for Edinburgh . I am also an accredited whiskey ambassador. It would be my pleasure to show and tell you the many sites and stories that Edinburgh and Scotland has to offer. I can offer a full range of tours of Edinburgh from 4, 8 and 12 hours. I can also offer a wide range of full day tours outside of Edinburgh from Stirling , St Andrews, The Scottish Borders and Outlander tours along with the Highlands of Scotland. Or I can build a tour that suits your tastes and requirements. I also offer a full range of tours throughout Scotland's whisky regions and distilleries, something completely different. All at your own pace (although I set itineraries up you are in control). So relax and take everything at your pace. I want you to have as much fun as I do on all the tours given. You can tell me what you want and I will make a tour that fits and suits you. All tours are bespoke to each clients requirements. My philosophy is to treat every tour as it is your only chance to visit Scotland. I will make every tour unique for all my customer's. I look forward to seeing you . All tours come with complimentary hamper water juice fudge biscuits etc I can offer spaces for 1 to 6 people in an air conditioned traditional black taxi cab.

Overview of your Edinburgh tour

Become a Royal for the day! well. . . in my eyes you will be one! On this tour, you will visit Braemar Balmoral Castle, and Pitlochry. I will personally tell you the stories I know and history of all the locations we visit. You will be able to sample some of Scotland's finest whisky. Also fine food as well. You will be able to really enjoy all that Scotland has to offer. This tour might not suit children. However, I'm sure I will be able to keep them entertained. I look forward to seeing you on this tour for a fun packed and informative day.

We didn't know what to expect on the tour but it turned out to be great. One of the highlights was just to spent time with John over lunch and learning about the history of Scotland through his lens, a local. This is something you can't get when exploring on your own. Our only gripe was how unforgiving the journey was with all it's twist and turns of the road. John did his best to make sure we were comfortable throughout, ensuring us that we can stop to take a breather at any time and even supplied us water which was very much appreciated!

- Pick up from your customers request. t's the stunning drive up the A93 to Balmoral Castle take in the breathtaking views on this drive. - Then the picture prefer Balmoral Castle and grounds this is the royal families private holiday retreat. Visit inside Balmoral Castle. Then View the stunning gardens and maybe do some shopping at the castle shop. Lunch at the famous Fife Arms in Braemar - As we drive back to Edinburgh we will stop at the idyllic town of Pitlochry. Wander through the shops maybe visit the dam and salmon ladder.
