Thanks for visiting this page! I'm a former civics and museum educator and own a small tour company here in Washington, DC. I love using this great American city to teach about the built environment and U.S. history; with a focus on narrative storytelling and local DC history. I have twenty years of practice in experiential education and specialize in small group, outdoor walking tours. Typically I host groups sized 10 people or fewer on walking tours. However, if you have a larger group and already have a bus, I can act as a step-on guide. Please message for rates and details. As a full time tour provider, I often work with families, other small businesses, couples, and individuals. Please bring the kids. I write for ages 10 years and up for monument tours, and 12 and up for all others. Come as you are, I'm here to make your trip worthwhile and fun! I look forward to working with you. - Tim District of Columbia Tour Guide License #TGL 12565 Listed tours are walking tours.

Honor, remember, and explore. A profound 2.5 hour walk through history at the nation's most notable cemetery. Arlington National Cemetery is across the river from Washington, DC and is the resting place for 430,000 people, as of this writing. Our tour will feature the most visited stops including the resting place of President Kennedy and family, Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and Changing of the Guard. We will also explore other significant parts of the cemetery including some of the oldest sections including Sec 27 (USCT), the areas where enslaved peoples lived and worked, and the home of Mary Custis and Robert E. Lee. This tour is 2.5 hours and about 3 miles of walking. Main walkways are paved, but the walk includes hills and some dirt paths near Custis-Lee House. Arlington is an active cemetery. Therefore, walking routes and site access may be altered to respect any ongoing services. We will begin and end at the visitors center. Please dress comfortably with good walking shoes.
