Kid-friendly British Museum Highlights Tour - Fun and Fascinating!

I booked this tour as the second half of our day, a group of 7 (no kids) just finished a fabulous of the National Gallery with our tour guide Jeremy (see review of National Gallery. We walked a short distance to the British Museum to begin our tour with Jeremy who is funny, quite knowledgeable, and truly genuine. The museum is very large, 80k objects on display at any given time. We hit all the highlights, and some hidden treasures that most people would skip. Jeremy has endless knowledge about the exhibits, it's astounding. The tour kept our group from wondering off, and being mindful of the time, as we had a tight schedule. On tip we found out from Jeremy is that most museums in London are open late on Friday's, go later in the day, and avoid the masses. I would definitely recommend this tour to family and friends

We’ve had lots of Tours by Locals tours, and while all have been great, Jeremy stood out as the best we’ve ever had. He was amazing with the kids in the group (ranging in age from 8-12) and went above and beyond to walk us to a playground after the tour so the kids could blow off some steam, and then to suggest a dinner spot. His knowledge of the museum was incredible, and he kept everyone’s interest the whole time. Highly recommend!

Jeremy created a wonderful experience for us. He met us at our hotel and started the tour right away. It ended up being so much more than British Museum guided tour, We learned about little allies, BBC building, notable pubs along the way (connected with his family history and WWII) and so much more along the walk to the museum. He truly was able to adapt to my 12 year old daughter and made it interesting for both of us (I have been to British museum many times, it was her first time). I highly recommend Jeremy if you are looking for a tour guide in London.

I cannot overstate how amazing Jeremy was on this tour. We have done tours through companies, guides, and dozens through Tours By Locals and Jeremy is the best. His demeanor, attitude, and personality are incredible. You immediately feel as though you are with an old friend. He was extremely accommodating for our group and our schedule and he has the best personality to keep everybody engaged. We have seen guides are good with children but Jeremey is far superior in every way by how he speaks to them, has them help with finding the next spot in the museum and then answering questions. Our 8 year old is still talking about this visit and can't wait to go to another museum. The most impressive part was seeing our 6 year old get engaged and ask questions in a museum as usually he gets bored. We cannot thank Jeremy enough. If you are looking for the best there is then book with Jeremy!

Jeremy was an absolutely fantastic guide for our British Museum visit! His energy was infectious, keeping even our five children (ages 6-13) thoroughly engaged and excited. He truly went with the flow of our group, adapting his commentary and pace to perfectly suit our interests and the kids' varying attention spans. We highly recommend Jeremy for a fun, informative, and stress-free museum/London experience, especially for families!
