Its origins date back nearly 5, 000 years and it has been home to pagan religion and spiritual worship. A walking tour of the monument is included. Salisbury and the Magna Carta: Soaring into the skyline, the spire of Salisbury Cathedral stands at a whopping 123m (404ft)! Erected 800 years ago, the revolutionary spire is considered one of the leading examples of Early English architecture. Avebury Stone Circle and the World Heritage Landscape. Peter was a stand in for Nicholas who had an illness in the family. Peter knocked it out of the park! Extremely well prepared and knowledgeable on Stonehenge, Avenbury, Lacope, and the English countryside and Greater London as well. He was very patient and thoughtful in including our 9 and 11-yr old grandchildren in the conversations at each site highlighting aspects he knew would interest them. Our family highly recommends Peter’s tours on any sites or subjects!

Nicholas is an awesome guide and very knowledgeable about many aspects of the area's history. He picked us up at the airport, toured Woodhenge and Stonehenge before the crowds arrived, went to Salisbury Cathedral then on to Lacock with lunch at a local pub before ending in Bath. Never used a guide before but would definitely use Nicholas as a guide again.
Nicholas was terrific. Very very knowledgeable, providing us with so much information we would have missed out on if we explored these areas independently. He could tell what our expectations were and times we cared to spend st the various destinations. We loved the tour, all the interesting stories, our stop for lunch at a quaint pub, his van…really can't say enough.
Nicholas is absolutely fantastic! He is deeply knowledge. My wife and I had such an enjoyable time touring with him. We learned so much. Nicholas made history come alive. And he has such a great personality. I highly recommend!!
Nicholas was the best tour guide we've ever experienced. He explained the history and theories of Stonehenge and England in general, at an in depth way that even my kids loved. Didn't crowd us either. We would never recommend going without him.
