May I introduce myself, I am Jamie one of the few independent full-time professional tour guides working in and around Bath. Born in the swinging 60's, schooled at Beechen Cliff I am a Bathonian and love to reveal the more surprising, forgotten and hidden corners of the city as well as, of course, the iconic sights. I thoroughly enjoyed my walking tour with Jamie. I had a very limited time to see Bath, and he accommodated my time frame. I feel like I left Bath with an understanding of the history of this beautiful city, I saw most of the major sites, and now want to return for a longer visit!

Jamie met us at our arrival at the train station and made sure we were ready to start the tour. He covered highlights of the Roman Baths as he knew that we had tickets for later that day. The walking tour was fairly easy, even on the moderate grade up to the Cresent. As with many historic sites, the pavements are variable and uneven. We enjoyed the historic tidbits that he provided, and enjoyed two of his recommended pubs/restaurants. We saw several tour groups and realized how fortunate we were to be just a couple with a private guide.

An informative history of the city will be given as we stroll the streets stopping at various key locations for further information and, of course, photo opportunities galore! This 2 hour tour can be arranged at any time of day to suit you. It will provide a good background to make the best of your time here. I can happily give recommendations about museums, attractions and restaurants, pubs etc Tour highlights include (seeing mainly from outside ) : Abbey, Roman Baths, the oldest house in city, River Avon, Pulteney Bridge, Guildhall markets, Theatre Royal, Queen Square, Royal Crescent, Royal Victoria Park, The Circus and much more. Great photo opportunities of course ! We are flexible to your needs ! Tour can be extended to include breaks for refreshment, lunch etc. Inquire for a quotation.
