We will wander the mediaeval Market Place, which has featured in television dramas and movies. There will be time to enjoy a traditional pub lunch. Explore Glastonbury, a charming town with ancient buildings and a unique, New Age High Street. This place will inspire and intrigue you with its myths, mystery and Arthurian Legends. Did you know its former Abbey was the country's largest and most powerful during the Middle Ages and the legendary birthplace of Christianity in England. Depending on time/fitness/weather we'll also walk up iconic Glastonbury Tor to savour a panoramic view of the surrounding Somerset landscape.

I had the opportunity to hire Matt for three days as a birthday gift for my friends. We did the Cotswolds, Stonehenge (with Glastonbury, and a drive through Cheddar Gorge) and Bath. He picked us up from our Bristol hotel each day and delivered us back home at night. We love Matt. He is a professional guide, safe driver, shares hilarious stories, and much intriguing history. I was not planning to hire the same person for 3 consecutive days, but Matt made it too easy for me to do business with him.

We'll walk over the drawbridge and explore the award-winning gardens (optional). - Glastonbury is a town steeped in mystery and legend. Visit the impressive ruined Abbey, which is reputed to be the burial place of King Arthur. According to legend this is also where Joseph of Arimathea arrived with the Holy Grail to establish the first English Christian church. - Thereafter, let's stroll through the lovely town centre OR climb the iconic Tor to savour the panoramic views over the Somerset Levels
