Hi! I moved to Bath with my family 28 years ago and have no intention of leaving ! I would love to share my love of this beautiful Unesco World Heritage city with you and have been guiding for about 12 years. My professional background was teaching German , some French and English so I have had plenty of experience of presenting and escorting groups here and in Europe. I have been fortunate to have travelled widely and have participated in many Guided Tours and Shore Excursions with other tourists from all over the world including Australia, New Zealand , Canada, USA, South America, India and China. These have made it clear to me what sort of tour I enjoy and I hope to offer you that type of tour. I'm told I speak very clearly, so there is no problem if you are not used to the English accent. I'm very keen to cater for guests with disabilities, so please let me know if you have any special needs. My tours are informative and I will tell you a lot about the history and architecture of Bath as we view the compact Georgian city, including Bath as Jane Austen experienced it or as in Bridgerton, if you are a fan . I bring the places we look at up to date by telling you what they are used for now and what life is like in Bath in modern times. I focus on the residents of Bath, past and present, and keep things light hearted with some stories.. Gardening is a passion too. I enjoy showing you my photo hot spots and the stunning views around Bath. I feel very lucky to live in such an amazing place and to meet people from all over the world. I am happy to do tours if required in German and French. I also speak some Spanish but it is far from perfect! You are welcome to bring your dog on my tours. My approach is friendly and professional and Tour Guiding is like an enjoyable hobby for me. B.A Honours. German with French. Postgraduate Certificate in Education I’m not a driver guide so just offer walking tours in Bath. Guides are not permitted to guide inside the Roman Baths Museum so do book online yourself snd use the Audio guides

The best of both worlds - historic sights and the option of peaceful countryside in a 3 and a half hour walk! Start and end with the city centre sights then escape the crowds to the beautiful parks, peaceful countryside, the canal, and hills. Time for a tea/coffee stop is allowed. Learn about the residents of the city- past and present! You will see many of the main attractions but also the views and areas of Bath which tourists often miss and locals love. Fantastic photo opportunities. Please note this tour can alternatively be a thorough tour of the city itself rather than the city plus the canal and viewpoint hill, which is for the very energetic! During the city tour, we can look at Bridgerton and locations relevant to Jane Austen if you are interested.
In a walk of approximately 2 and a half miles I will guide you to the attractions of the city centre then if you wish we couid discover the area just beyond, which tourists often miss.if you prefer we will stay in the city and see more in a relaxed manner. The walk includes: * The Circus * Royal Crescent * Bath's longest and grandest Georgian street * film locations * Jane Austen's house * Sydney Gardens * Holburne Museum * Kennett and Avon Canal, its houseboats and locks * Optional- A climb up to a stunning view of Bath * River Avon * Pulteney Bridge * Abbey * The oldest house in Bath * Bath's smallest pub I will tell you about life in Bath in the past and about present-day. I also have plenty of tips to help you enjoy the rest of your time in Bath. If you would like to visit the Roman Baths before or after the tour, please buy your tickets online.
