I love Toledo. The most beautiful city in Spain. The city where I was born and raised, where I studied History and Archeology at the local university. Where I have been working as a tour guide and manager of archaeological heritage for more than fifteen years. If I were to visit Toledo, I would love to do it with a local friend who shows me its artistic wonders and its historical past, unique in the world. Place of coexistence among Jews, Christians and Muslims for 800 years. But also shares with me its gastronomy, its traditions, its crafts, the daily life of the people of Toledo. . . I would love to be your guide and host in my city and help you live a unique experience. I will take you to places closed to the public that no one else shows, such as cloistered nunneries or basements with Roman and medieval archaeological remains where I was personally working. We can walk through the most representative streets and squares but also through narrow alleys and corners that most visitors do not see. We can explore the Cathedral, the Alcázar and the Synagogues, but also take a monographic route through the old Jewish quarter, or through Toledo where El Greco lived and worked in the 16th century. If you want we can also enjoy a wine tasting and local tapas, try the excellent Manchego cheese or the best acorn-fed Iberian ham. Do you fancy trying the best marzipan in the world? I will show you the place where it is made. Come with me and you will live the difference between a tourist and a traveler. Bachelor of Humanities from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Faculty of Toledo. Magister in History from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. Coordinator for two years of the Cultural Resources Management Center of the Toledo Consortium, an official company specialized in the city's archaeological heritage. Official tourist guide of Castilla-La Mancha and the Valencian Community. None.

"Los Cobertizos" neighborhood is one of the most beautiful urban areas in Spain. Away from the most touristy streets, it is crisscrossed by narrow cobbled alleys that surround ancient cloistered convents that are still active. The nuns spend their lives inside praying, meditating and making delicious artisan sweets. It is my favorite neighborhood in Toledo. Since I was a kid I loved walking there, in solitude, at sunset, listening only to the sound of my footsteps and some prayer or song coming from inside the nunneries. As an adult, I had the opportunity to work, training to be an archaeologist, in the monastery of the Comendadoras de Santiago sisters, in its wonderful Renaissance cloister. That is why I can offer you a unique plan in the city: not only touring this beautiful area, listening legends and historical anecdotes, but also to access the interior of the nunnery, see the charming cloister and taste the sweets that the nuns cook. If you wish we can also have a coffee or a hot chocolate.
- The walking tour starts at the main square in town, the "Plaza de Zocodover", just under the clock. Together we will cover the following spots: - Toledo Ohio Street, in memory of our "sister city" in the USA - Mosque of "Cristo de la Luz", the oldest building in Toledo - "Cobertizos" neighborhood - 16th century convent of the Sisters of Santiago - San Román Square (probably the most charming in Toledo) - Jewish Quarter - End of the tour in the City Hall Square, in front of the Cathedral façade * This tour can be customized upon request, feel free to message me.
