I love Toledo. The most beautiful city in Spain. The city where I was born and raised, where I studied History and Archeology at the local university. Where I have been working as a tour guide and manager of archaeological heritage for more than fifteen years. If I were to visit Toledo, I would love to do it with a local friend who shows me its artistic wonders and its historical past, unique in the world. Place of coexistence among Jews, Christians and Muslims for 800 years. But also shares with me its gastronomy, its traditions, its crafts, the daily life of the people of Toledo. . . I would love to be your guide and host in my city and help you live a unique experience. I will take you to places closed to the public that no one else shows, such as cloistered nunneries or basements with Roman and medieval archaeological remains where I was personally working. We can walk through the most representative streets and squares but also through narrow alleys and corners that most visitors do not see. We can explore the Cathedral, the Alcázar and the Synagogues, but also take a monographic route through the old Jewish quarter, or through Toledo where El Greco lived and worked in the 16th century. If you want we can also enjoy a wine tasting and local tapas, try the excellent Manchego cheese or the best acorn-fed Iberian ham. Do you fancy trying the best marzipan in the world? I will show you the place where it is made. Come with me and you will live the difference between a tourist and a traveler. Bachelor of Humanities from the University of Castilla-La Mancha, Faculty of Toledo. Magister in History from the University of Los Andes in Bogotá. Coordinator for two years of the Cultural Resources Management Center of the Toledo Consortium, an official company specialized in the city's archaeological heritage. Official tourist guide of Castilla-La Mancha and the Valencian Community. None.

This tour is a different way of getting to know Toledo. A walk through our history and the most representative places and also an experience to taste the most delicious local gastronomic specialties. A close and personal way to enjoy the most beautiful city in Spain. We will go through narrow and silent medieval alleys and we will explore the places that show the coexistence between Jews, Christians and Muslims: The archaeological remains in the Alcázar, the Mudejar church of San Román (of Muslim inspiration) and the old Samuel Levi Synagogue, curretly the Sephardic Museum. We will also see a sword forging workshop and a 14th century Jewish ritual bath, closed to the general public. I will invite you to try the best marzipan in Toledo and, at the end of the tour, we will go to the best tapas bar in the city where you will taste our most delicious dishes: croquettes, deer with mushrooms, "migas", partridge salad, Manchego cheese or acord-fed iberian ham. Buen provecho!
- The walking tour starts in the main square of Toledo, the "Plaza de Zocodover", just below the big clock (we can meet there or also at your hotel, apartment or at the train station). Together we will cover the following spots: - Calle Comercio - Visit to the last sword workshop still active - Church of San Román (Muslim-inspired) - Jewish Quarter - Tasting of the best marzipan in Toledo at the Santo Tomé confectionery - Private and exclusive access to an ancient mikveh, from the 14th century, under a private house - Visit to the Synagogue of Samuel Levi, currently the Sephardic National Museum - Lunch at the best tapas bar in the city where you can try our most delicious gastronomic specialties, with a good Manchego wine (if you want to ;) * This tour can be customized upon request, please contact me.

This is a walking tour. I suggest you wear comfortable shoes.
Airport: ,Cruise: ,ByGuide: I recommend starting the tour in the main square of Toledo, the "Plaza de Zocodover", just below the clock. I can pick you up at the Toledo train station. In that case, we would go by taxi (not included, approx 15 EUR) to the city center enjoying a beautiful panoramic tour and the views from the Mirador del valle.
