Hello!! My name is Mayte , I was born and raised in Madrid , as my parents are locals , I am a "cat". I studied Tourism in the University of Madrid because I love history, art , traveling and meeting people. The Romans built the fortress on the site of the present-day Alcazar. The Visigoths made of Toledo their capital in 6th century and left behind several churches. In the Middle Ages Toledo was the melting pot of Christian, Muslim and Jewish cultures and it was during this period that the city most outstanding monument-its cathedral-was built. You'll feel like you've steeped back in time: THE WHOLE CITY is a UNESCO world heritage site LARGE GROUPS are welcome as well, just ask me the quotation.

Mayte was an excellent guide explaining the history of Toledo and the historic buildings of the city. Also gave us insight into Madrid and the reason for the underground street system in Madrid. So very knowledgable of the Toledo and the environment. She lead us on beautiful places for pictures of the city. Just a wonderful tour. You will not be disappointed.
