Hello! My name is Enrique and I was born and raised in Toledo. My love for my beautiful hometown started at a very young age, because my whole family has been guiding tours in Toledo for the last 50 years (my grandfather, my father, my uncle, my brother and my cousin!). I am so proud of continuing my family tradition, as an Official Tour Guide for the last 13 years now! My family and I have always lived in the historical district of Toledo, so I know every single corner in it! I really love my job, and every day is a gift to me. It is such a pleasure to make people understand a city with more than 2000 years of history! Plenty of monuments and historical spots, Toledo is entirely a UNESCO World Heritage site! But in my opinion, a good tour guide must be able to make his travellers enjoy the city, and not only by visiting the very important monuments, but also by getting to know the local traditions, manners, festivities, sweets, food and wines, etc. I love these kind of extras that will make you taste the real Toledo, and this is something easier to do in private tours for small groups (families, couples, . . . ), which is, by the way, what I like the most! I'm a very open minded and flexible person, so I can adapt the tour to your specific interests! Just let me know! It would be my pleasure to show you everything about Toledo! Regards, Enrique - Officially Licensed Tour Guide by the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha. - Degree in Tourism by the "Spanish Center for New Professions" (U.N.E.D. University, Madrid). I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

If it's your first time in Toledo, this is the most suitable tour to do, to understand the long and complex history of the city. We'll cross the entire historical district through its narrow alleys, visiting the main highlights. First of all, a huge Cathedral which, is still to this day Spain's most important catholic temple and has what is probably the richest and most spectacular interior in the entire country. Visiting another temple, you'll see one of the most important canvas in history: The Burial of the Count of Orgaz from El Greco, kept in its original location and so well preserved that it's never been restored. You'll also see the oldest former synagogue in Spain still standing, which presents an incredible Arabic influence in its interior, and a monastery that is supposed to be the burial place for the Catholic Monarchs, serving as a perfect example of their power in the middle ages. On our way, I'll let you know about every important aspect of the city and its streets. Customizable itinerary:

If you’re visiting Toledo, this tour is an absolute must. Our guide, Enrique, is a lifelong local resident whose passion for the city shines through in every moment of the experience. His knowledge of Toledo’s history, culture, architecture, and traditions is simply extraordinary, but what truly sets him apart is the enthusiasm and love he has for sharing it with others. Enrique brought the city to life with fascinating stories, historical insights, and local perspectives that you simply won’t find in a guidebook. His energy, humor, and genuine excitement made every stop engaging, dynamic, and fun. What could have been just a sightseeing tour became an unforgettable journey through one of Spain’s most remarkable cities. We left with a much deeper appreciation for Toledo and its rich heritage, all thanks to Enrique’s incredible storytelling and expertise. If you are anywhere near Toledo, do not miss this experience. It was one of the highlights of our trip, and we cannot recommend Enrique highly enough!
We had an amazing tour with Enrique! He grew up in Toledo and has a wealth of knowledge and love for the incredible town. We learned so much and Enrique made it easy for us. He met us at the train station and had a cab for 5 people ready and waiting! He made a fabulous lunch recommendation and of course we came away with some wonderful memories and gifts.
Myself, a Madrid resident and four others who were visiting from Ireland joined Enrique for a half day / four hour tour of Toledo. Enrique, a Toledano born and raised, has an incredible detailed knowledge of the city and its history from his lived experience and also because his family have been in the tour guide business for a couple of generations. I’ve never known a guide to be so friendly and informative while keeping the tour light and fun. He’s the total package. A true professional.
What a great visit to Toledo! Enrique is a passionate, knowledgeable lifelong Toledo resident, and he shared that enthusiasm with us. Highly recommended— I’d refer my friends and family to this tour. Well done!
Very enjoyable! Enrique was very knowledgeable and explained the history and architecture very well. We had a good time with him!
If you're coming by train, we'd start the tour together from Toledo's Train Station, where I'd be waiting for you holding a sign with your name on it, so you could easily find me at the platform. If you're coming in a private vehicle, we could agree on an easy to find meeting point to start the tour from. -We'd start by doing a panoramic tour in a taxi (up to 3 travellers plus me) to enjoy the amazing views from the other side of the Tagus River and then get to the city center. If your were to come to Toledo in your own car, and there was an available seat for me, we could do this as well. -We'd then cross the entire historical district, visiting the 4 main highlights: ·The Cathedral (Primate Cathedral of Spain) ·Santo Tomé Church including El Greco's masterpiece "The Burial of the Count of Orgaz" ·Synagogue of Santa María la Blanca. ·Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes. When we finish the tour, and in case you want to have lunch or dinner in Toledo, I can give my suggestions depending on what you like.
