In September 2025, Miriam gave us a wonderful tour of the Madinat Al-Zahra outside of Cordoba. If you are into the history of Andalucia, this site is a must see. Miriam told us many wonderful stories from local history, and answered all of our questions. We are older and a bit slower, and Miriam paced the tour exactly right for us. Her English is excellent. You won’t go wrong with Miriam! (Be sure to ask her about flamenco!) Bruce and Pat P.S., private tours are more expensive than group tours, but they are SO much better.

It was the beginning and the end of the Glorious Golden Age of Al-Andalus (Medieval Spain) This special site it was the first place where I worked in 2012 so it is very special for me and I'll make you discover pretty well.

Excellent tour! Mirian had a good balance of history, archeology and architecture in her explanations. She was very mindful of our need for some rest breaks. We gained a good understanding of the site and its importance . Mirian is very personable and easy to understand. We enjoyed a superb day of history, culture, friendship and lunch with Myriam when we visited the wonderful Madinat El Zahrat and Ecija with Myriam. We arrived at the site early in the morning, well before the crowds, and Myriam's knowledge, ability to create pictures made for a wonderful visit. Her hometown of Ecija was filled with a love of the history and superb architecture of the town. Lunch was delicious in a lovely setting. -Madinat Al-Zahra is located 8 km far away from Cordoba. -To get the archeological site you can use bus o taxi or your own car. -The tour includes: *The visit the Archeological site of Madinat Al-Zahra *Its Museum. -We can do it in the morning or in the afternoon. I can send you the link to make your reservation. By taxi: The cost is 30 euros approx. one way and return. I can make you the reservation for the taxi. By your own car: It is located only 8 km far away from Cordoba. It is quite easy to find the place and I can give you some tips on how to get there.
