Hola!! My name is Carmen. I was born and raised in the province of Córdoba, and I have worked for the last 30 years in the field of Tourism in Andalusia, Spain, as well as internationally. I started my career working in Cordoba and Seville as a travel agent. Then, I enjoyed the opportunity to live in Charleston (SC, USA), and to work for a year at their Visitors' Center. When I returned to Córdoba, I was a Travel Agency Director for 8 years, and then I worked as a teacher for Tourism students for another 8 years. Finally, in 2012, I achieved my long-term goal of being an official Córdoba tourist guide, since my two passions are to meet people and learn languages. Córdoba is known worldwide as the city of tolerance, where Christians, Jews and Muslims lived together in harmony. Even now, Córdoba retains its charming medieval flavour, it is like a gem that is waiting to be discovered. As a local, I will be happy to show you the hidden corners, which are usually missed by the typical touristic tours. Córdoba was declared a "World Heritage Site" by the UNESCO in 1994 and the Cathedral of Cordoba, the former Mosque, was declared a "World Heritage Monument" by the UNESCO 1984. I am always aware of the small details; for example, finding the most spectacular balconies laden with blooming geraniums, the best moment to witness the sunset from the Roman Bridge, or the spot to introduce you to local artisans who still use their ancestral techniques. I endeavour to make my clients feel comfortable and at home, and can tailor tours to your specific needs, for example, cultural tours, gastronomic tours, local artisans tours, and even tours of private patios. Please, do not hesitate to contact me, I will be happy to be your host in Córdoba!! Bachelor in Tourism. Postgraduate Pedagogical Adaptation. Official tour guide of Andalucía. License number 1236. Member of APIT ( Cordoban Confederation of licensed guides). Member of CEFAPIT (National Confederation of licensed guides). RASGO guide certification of the network of Spanish Jewish Quarters - Routes of Sefarad. None.

We say "cordobesa de los pies a la cabeza" "cordovan from feet to crown", that is how you will feel after this tour. Can you imaging visiting some courtyards of private homes, talking with the owners and experience the cordoban way of life? I will make sure that you do not miss that experience. I am sure that you will love to walk at your own pace, stop by some artisan workshops and old taverns to try the fiti-fiti, yes, we combine the white and sweet wine. It is funny because the meaning is "fifty-fifty" that is how the waiters explained it to the visitors in the sixties.
- Great Mosque-Cathedral - Jewish Quarter -Synagogue (opens from Tuesday to Sunday 9am-3 pm) - Castle of the Christian Monarchs - Royal Stables - Visit the patios in private houses(4-6 patios) - A couple of tapas(small dish) in traditional taverns or restaurants - River and Roman bridge. (Depending on the start time, the itinerary can change)
