Hello¡¡ My name is Maria and I was born in this wonderfull city , Córdoba This is a very historical city, stablished by Romans in the 2nd century B. C. Nearby the Guadalquivir River and Sierra Morena . For more than 500 years, Cordoba was under the muslim rules, and became the capital of the Muslim Peninsula or Hispania. It was one of the most important cities in the world. From that time left the Mosque Cathedral , world heritage by UNESCO. An amazing city, also wellknown all over the world due of its Patios ( Courtyards), and the Patios Festival in may. This Patios are small paradises in the houses. During three hours, you can enjoy a Cordoba walking tour, visiting the main monuments: the Great Mosque-Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, the Synagogue, and the Alcazar of the Christian Kings. Muslims built the Mosque over the foundations of a Visigoth church. Later Christians consecrated the Mosque as a Cathedral. And here it is, the Cathedral of Cordoba. There is only one building in the world that combines two different buildings in only one, and this one is at the same time a resume of our history. I would like to show and explain this monument to you, how I feel about it, and how I love it. After that, I will show the Jewish Heritage in Cordoba. Did you know that in Spain, more than 5,000 family names of Jews are being converted? What do you know about Sephardic Jews? With me, you will know all these things and some secrets about the city.
Maria did a fantastic job adapting to our group's needs and interests. She was well organized and very knowledgeable allowing her to adapt easily. Her English language skills are excellent. Her personality is warm and friendly. I highly recommend Maria. Great tour!
Maria is a wonderful, knowledgeable guide. Her pride and love for Cordoba was infectious!! Highly recommend!!!
We had an amazing tour. Our guide was so very knowledgeable about the history of Andulsia and Cordoba. She was extremely organized and had a plan on how to show us the Mosque/Cathedral so we really understood the full extent of this monument.
We had a fantastic tour of Cordoba with Maria. Her knowledge is so extensive, we learned all about the city’s fascinating history, especially the mezquita, and explored most of what makes Cordoba so special. Maria is super friendly, and our tour was very conversational, particularly since we were just two on the tour. She also gave us great recommendations for restaurants, shops, and other things to do. If you are planning to visit Cordoba, you should definitely book this tour with Maria, who grew up there and knows EVERYTHING about it! She gave one of the best tours I’ve ever had.
Maria was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We enjoyed the tour greatly.
The tour was very very enjoyable and complete. Our guide was very knowledgeable and showed parts of the city that I would not consider to be typical.
The Itinerary starts with the Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba; it is better to start at 10:00 or 10:30 in the morning. -Flower Street, is the nicest and most visited street in Cordoba. - Jewish Quarter and Synagogue, the only one in Andalucia, and one of the three in Spain that survived the Inquisition. - The Alcazar of Christian Kings. We can change the order of the itinerary if the client requires it. IMPORTANT: On Monday the Synagogue and Alcazar are closed, we will see from outside.
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
