Hello¡¡ My name is Maria and I was born in this wonderfull city , Córdoba This is a very historical city, stablished by Romans in the 2nd century B. C. Nearby the Guadalquivir River and Sierra Morena . For more than 500 years, Cordoba was under the muslim rules, and became the capital of the Muslim Peninsula or Hispania. It was one of the most important cities in the world. From that time left the Mosque Cathedral , world heritage by UNESCO. An amazing city, also wellknown all over the world due of its Patios ( Courtyards), and the Patios Festival in may. This Patios are small paradises in the houses. About me: I am a graduate in Tourism and my working life since 1993 has been always in tourism. My first job was Congress Hostess, and I worked at the Cordoba Tourist Information. In 1996 I began to work as an Interpreter Tourist Guide, 24 years meeting people from all over the world. Many years of guiding, many experiences, and always, enjoying my work. I am Active, reliable, hardworking and always very positive about life and my job as guide I like my job, I like what I do. The purpose of my guided visits is that you enjoy and get to know with me the city where I was born. Bachelor in Tourism Official Licensed Guide of Andalucia by Junta de Andalucia ( Regional Govermment) . Mosque-Cathedral Guide accreditation, by Cathedral Council. During three hours, you can enjoy a Cordoba walking tour, visiting the main monuments: the Great Mosque-Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, the Synagogue, and the Alcazar of the Christian Kings. Muslims built the Mosque over the foundations of a Visigoth church. Later Christians consecrated the Mosque as a Cathedral. And here it is, the Cathedral of Cordoba. There is only one building in the world that combines two different buildings in only one, and this one is at the same time a resume of our history. I would like to show and explain this monument to you, how I feel about it, and how I love it. After that, I will show the Jewish Heritage in Cordoba. Did you know that in Spain, more than 5,000 family names of Jews are being converted? What do you know about Sephardic Jews? With me, you will know all these things and some secrets about the city.

Very pleased with this tour. Maria's knowledge of Mosque-Cathedral was very apparent. She readily provided information from an historical perspective, offered current context and used an iPad to assist with visual understanding of the construction. He intimate knowledge of Cordoba allowed us to see other local attractions like the Caballerizas Real riding stables and center patios of several homes in the Jewish quarter. The Mosque-Cathedral is so impressive and touring with Maria offered the background for our understanding of this incredible sight. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Maria.
Your Cordoba tour itinerary
The Itinerary starts with the Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba; it is better to start at 10:00 or 10:30 in the morning. -Flower Street, is the nicest and most visited street in Cordoba. - Jewish Quarter and Synagogue, the only one in Andalucia, and one of the three in Spain that survived the Inquisition. - The Alcazar of Christian Kings. We can change the order of the itinerary if the client requires it. IMPORTANT: On Monday the Synagogue and Alcazar are closed, we will see from outside.
