Carmen provided us with a master class in the history of Cordoba. It was fascinating to learn about the development of the city, life of its residents through the ages and the changes in architecture. Carmen proved why a visit to Andalusia would not be complete without seeing Córdoba.

The city is fantastic - the Mezquita is absolutely breathtaking. And our guide, Carmen B, made the discovery of the town even more unforgettable. Carmen is everything you want as a private guide. She is very responsive from the get-go, warm, knowledgeable, and entertaining. She has a deep knowledge and love of her city. She reads extremely well the needs and wants of her clients. We felt like we were discovering the town with our local longtime friend. We can’t recommend Carmen highly enough!

We thought this was one of the best tours ever because not only did Carmen get all the tickets ahead to avoid lines but she has many maps and documents including on her IPad to share with us to help us understand the historical, cultural, architectural, economic and geographical context, She was willing to share these by airdropping them to us so we could read more later. Carmen seemed to know everyone and that made it feel like visiting a small community with your cousin or aunt. Her breath of knowledge and the nuances was great - especially when we had questions. Add to it her charm and great suggestions on a map of what to go see and do on our own to round out our visit to cordoba.

Carmen is an incredible fount of knowledge on the history of Cordoba, the major figures and forces that have shaped this city over centuries, and additionally will provide a much-needed perspective on how Cordoba fits into the broader picture of Christian/Muslim development of Southern Spain, and fate of Jews over time. She is chatty, flexible, attentive, and super friendly. If you are interested in history, I highly recommend Carmen.

Carmen was wonderful...kept in touch with us about any detail changes and met us promptly at our hotel. She shared the history using visuals on her tablet as well as explained what we were seeing....loved seeing flowers and lives of everyday people as well as the mosque cathedral. I would highly recommend her tour to anyone who would like to understand better the relationship between spain's various cultures.
