Hi, My name is Alan. Although I was born in France and have lived in the UK, Italy, and Argentina, Catalonia has been my home for close to 20 years. I still don't know if I chose it or if it chose me, but what's drawn me to this place are its people, the culture, and history, not to forget its beautiful landscape. My free time is spent outdoors, climbing, trail running, mountain biking, or simply walking, observing, and reconnecting with nature. I'm a translator and interpreter, but my passion for the outdoors led me to become a guide in 2017. I am a qualified Mountain Leader and a member of the Union of International Mountain Leaders Associations (UIMLA). My tours are focused on giving you the opportunity to discover areas of natural beauty, away from the crowds. On a day out with me, we'll not only get to take some great pictures and be in awe of the many breathtakingly beautiful landscapes Catalonia has to offer, but we'll get to disconnect from the city and connect with nature, become more familiar with some of the local flora and fauna and inevitably enjoy some local products. My aim is for you to have a truly memorable and unique experience in nature, and for this to be a highlight of your stay in Catalonia. People inevitably come to Barcelona to visit the city but there are many amazing sites to discover close to the capital too, like Montserrat, the Costa Brava, or any of the mountains near the Catalan capital. I take great pride in the work that I do and always prioritize working with small groups. I get to be outdoors every day and feel very fortunate to be able to share some of Catalonia's treasures with people from all around the world. Join me and we'll make your day outdoors one to remember! Mountain Leader, member of the Spanish Mountain Guide Association No. 1449. Member of the Union of International Mountain Leader Associations. ROPEC (Official Register of Sports Professionals of Catalonia) 031764 I do not have any restrictions regarding my guiding activities, I can offer a full range of experiences

Travel back in time to a place where the walls, cobbled streets and cliffs seem to a have a million stories to tell; where some of Catalonia's natural wonders and history go hand in hand. We will head north of Barcelona to discover one of Catalonia's best representations of the rural world and medieval heritage in a remarkable setting. Travel back centuries and discover one of Spain's most beautiful villages immersed in a breathtaking landscape. The itinerary is flexible, for any changes please let me know.
As we enter Rupit we will immediately be immersed in a medieval setting, surrounded by buildings dating as far back as the XI century. Once we've had a taste of Rupit's history we will venture down the narrow valley, leaving the medieval setting behind and above us, and find ourselves surrounded by incredible rock formations, cliffs, and exuberant vegetation; a true delight for the senses. As we near the end of the valley, we will set our eyes on one of Catalonia's most spectacular sights: "El Salt de Sallent", Catalonia's biggest and most impressive waterfall. Standing on a plateau, as the river cascades down the immense wall below our feet, our perspective changes as we marvel at the view of the cliffs all around us and the nearby mountains. We will stop at the Roman chapel of Sant Joan de Fàbregues for a small snack before we walk back to the quaint village of Rupit, perched in this mesmerizing rural setting. Once back in Rupit, we will try some local products before driving back to Barcelona.
