Catalonia and Spain are some of the most diverse and quality oriented wine countries in the world. This is why I am determined to show our wine making culture and heritage to visitors to Barcelona. If this can be combined with some culture and history, the excursion becomes a very complete and balanced experience. In this sense, I am offering a wonderful Private Tour to the mountain and Benedictine abbey of Montserrat and a visit to Catalonia's legendary wine making region! The Abbey was founded in the year 1. 025 and currently has 65 monks. In the Monastery we'll visit the Basilica minor where you will see the worldwide famous "Black Madonna". The tour includes a breathtaking panoramic drive from the deep valley up to the mountain, passing several amazing peaks. This tour includes the visit to a great winery as well!
Private Tour that takes you to a winery and to the mountain and abbey of Montserrat. The order of monastery and winery depends on availability. Usually the winery FIRST. Do not worry, because when it is time for the tasting, it's already late in the day! 1) Drive from Barcelona to a boutique winery in the Penedes wine making region. * Visit to the facility * Wine tasting (can be the Catalan “cava” or, only if requested specifically, still wines, but it is strongly advised to get to know the world of the Catalan “cava” -Catalan sparkling) 2) Drive from the winery to Montserrat mountain (usually 1 hour drive) 3) Once there, panoramic drive up (12 km) * Stroll from parking to the facility (unless we are taking the cable car, which is not included, but strongly recommended!) * Visit to the old cloister destroyed by Napoleon in 1811 * Access to the Basilica 4) Visit to the Basilica Minor with the "Black Madonna" 6) Drive back to Barcelona (approx. 1 h. 15 min. This may vary, depending on traffic)

A comfortable seater van with leather seats and air-conditioned. The van is offered free of charge in order to take you to the place where the tour starts. The van is offered as an amicable detail in order to get to the different places and is not part of the cost structure, tour or contract.
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain
No airport or cruise ship port Please notice: If we are meeting in an hotel, being sometimes a busy spot, I may meet you personally in the lobby of the hotel, and from there we'll walk to the van parking (just a few metres, in a 3 or 4 minute range).
