Overview of your Barcelona tour
Allow me to guide you through the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona, sightseeing local shops, iconic landmarks and ancient constructions, as I answer any questions about the city that you may have. Our tour will take place in the Gothic Quarter and the Born neighbourhood and can go as far as Barceloneta and the Old Port. If you book this tour in the morning and in the afternoon, we will enter a number of historical buildings I single-handedly selected for you to experience the city's bounteous atmosphere. However if you would prefer an evening tour, when those monuments are closed, I will explain everything you need to know about them from the outside, from their history, legends that involve them, as well as curiosities you might find interesting!
Your Barcelona tour itinerary
·Our tour will begin after we meet in Plaça Catalunya. ·Next, we'll proceed to explore the Gothic Quarter, where I'll point out where the old walls of the city of Barcelona were located. ·Afterwards, we'll pass by St Anna Church. ·We'll then pass by the iconic modernist artistic centre. ·Later, we'll reach Barcelona Cathedral. ·Then it's on to Filipo Neri square. ·Next, we'll see the Bisbe bridge. ·Afterwards, we'll go to Casa Arcadia and Residence of the Catalan counts from the 13th century to the beginning of the 15th century. ·What follows will be the palace of the Spanish inquisition. ·We'll then arrive to the Born neighbourhood where we'll see the Cathedral of the sea and a number of characteristic streets. ·Next, we'll pass by the centre of the Roman city where the Temple of Augustus stood and admire its remains. ·We'll then walk along La Rambla until we reach the Boqueria market where, we'll end our tour (this is a location from where you can easily take either a taxi anywhere).
