Churchill was talking about the Spanish Civil War, when Barcelona and other cities and towns of Catalonia suffered hundreds of aerial bombardments. This tour takes you to the story of the war and its consequences. We will be reviewing themes such as Political Situation, George Orwell, the help of the International Brigades, and Barcelona daily life and bombing, as well as the consequences of the war and its subsequent victory of the francoists.
Your Barcelona tour itinerary
There are two versions of the tour: -Short: Walking tour in the city center. Area of plaça Catalunya, Rambla, Gothic Quarter and Port in order to find the sites in Barcelona that help us to describe and relive the terrible conflict. -Long: it is the walking tour part with the addition of the visit to the anticraft batteries, Montjuic Hill where you can find the military fortress. In the case of choosing the long version of the tour, we will start with the visit of the batteries situated on top of the hills of Barcelona. This visit has a duration of 1 hour after which we will continue getting by bus or private vehicle to the city center to do the second part of the tour on foot, The last part is the one focused on the guided tour of Montjuic Hill.
