Let's experience Lisbon from a different perspective by walking through the city's neighbourhoods, narrow streets and the most ancient parts that will makes us feel like a true local. Lisbon is set on hills filled with history. It's foundation goes back 3000 years ago and we can still imagine how the different people lived. The city has many features from different periods that we will be able to see in this tour. Majestic squares like the commerce square is the biggest in Europe, maze like streets from the time of the romans and moors, old walls still preserved till today, tiled facades, medieval buildings and impressive views, all of this mixed in its unique architecture. If you feel tired we can always stop for coffee and a pastry, it is always recommended to try a custard tart, one of the most traditional flavours which will remain in your brain for ever!
We spent two enjoyable days exploring Lisbon with Susana - one walking, the other driving. She was extremely knowledgeable and enjoyable company. She did a great job navigating the crowds and reducing wait times wherever possible. We would definitely recommend her.
Great tour. Susana was very knowledgeable about Lisbon and showed us all of the highlights so we could get our bearings straight. Enjoyed our tour immensely.
Enjoyed our tour with Susana. The pace and information were exactly on target for our group of 6. Her insight of Lisbon historical events, blended with culture, as well as some of the current local happings made for a pleasant and insightful 3 hour walking tour.
If you are looking for a friendly, professional and knowledgeable guide in Lisbon, then choose Susana. My wife and I recently spent an pleasant afternoon with her. Susana gave us a nice overview of the city. Her knowledge of the city and its history was impressive. But, what really made the tour enjoyable was Susana's insights on daily life there. She pointed out local delicacies and the best places to buy them. She walked us through several different neighborhoods that were off of the usual tourist paths and gave us a good sense of the different characteristics of those neighborhoods. Overall, an excellent tour.
Susanan was a great guide. Her knowledge of the Lisbon was amazing and she was able to keep the tour so interesting. Her voice was loud enough that the hard of hearing men had no problem hearing her. I would recommend Susanan without reservation and I have already given her name to two of our friends.
This was our 1st of 4 tours with Susana and it left us feeling so glad she would guide us for 4 days. She was prompt, knowledgeable, funny, flexible, and had many anecdotal stories to share about Lisbon throughout the walk. This tour gave us a great orientation to the city on our first day and whetted our appetite for our next 3 days with her. She was easy to talk to, spoke English perfectly, and allowed us to go at our own pace, stopping for ice cream and whatnot during our time. An outstanding guide.
Start the tour at the Rossio Square, the very heart of Lisbon. Walk along the pedestrian street through the downtown area completely reconstructed after the earthquake of 1755, admire the Elevator Santa Justa . Go up the Hill of Saint George to visit the castle neighborhood. Continue downhill to the viewing points of Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol(Gate of the sun)to admire the view over Alfama. Go downhill to Alfama to discover the core of Lisbon, moorish influenced district. Continue to the Commerce Square, built after the earthquake, one of the most majestic squares of Lisbon where we end our tour. -The tour can be customised according to your preferences, please inquire
