Either you want a comfortable and relaxing quick transfer with a knowledgeable guide or an exploring trip between Lisbon/Douro Valley, I may provide it. We shall pass by any of this amazing places according to your preference. The stops I would advise would be Aveiro and Óbidos or Alcobaça and Óbidos. But we may stop in two cities along the way between: Aveiro, Coimbra, Óbidos and Alcobaça and Fátima. Aveiro is called the Portuguese Venice because has water channels inside the city. Beautiful fisherman houses in Costa Nova and great fish and shellfish restaurants. Óbidos is a small beautiful medieval village where the Ginja (sour cherry) liquor is made. Alcobaça has the most impressive monastery that it's a world Heritage Site. Inside are also the tombs of Inês de Castro and the D. Pedro I, the characters of the greatest Portuguese love story. Coimbra with its World Heritage Sites, University and Library (the most beautiful one in the World), Fátima, a worldwide famous pilgrimage site.
Being completely tailor made, you decide the itinerary. I may guide you on all locations, or just drive you around while you enjoy your privacy and/or your company. Besides the Douro Valley, I used to live in the portuguese cities of Porto (Oporto), Aveiro, Viseu and Lisboa (Lisbon), so I may drive you around, not just in the Douro Valley, but from the Douro Valley to any location in Portugal, or from any location in Portugal to the Douro Valley.
