Overview of your Lisbon tour
Following the loss of the great crusade and coming back from Jerusalem, the Knights Templar could only be safe in Portugal and Scotland as powerful institutions in France and Italy turned against them at the beginning of the 14th century. They could only escape persecutions by look for the safe land to start over; their new secret headquarters would of course be the country they had created 200 years before. Being Portugal the first Templar nation of the world, It saved the order from elimination and templar's thanked offering the people defense, spirituality, technology, knowledge and wealth redefining the future, but not only of Country. Nuno was a great tour guide! He is very conscientious, knowledgeable and prompt! We had 2 days in Lisbon and wanted to pack as much in as we could. He picked us up at the airport and off we went to Tomar! He brought life and death of the Templars. Just incredible! We also had a wonderful lunch at a local restaurant that had been recommended . Can’t go wrong with booking a tour with Nuno. We were a party of 4 from Phoenix AZ.

We were interested in the history of the Knights Templar so we booked a tour but didn't really know who we would get or how much they would know. We completely lucked out. Nuno's knowledge and passion for the history of the church, the Knights Templar and Portugal as a whole is beyond anything we could have hoped for. It is impressive and extensive. He is also very polite, accommodating and flexible. He showed us the tourists attractions as well as quaint local gems. It was the best day of our entire trip

Nuno provided interesting background for our visits to several Templar sights in and around Tomar. He accommodated our preferences re sequencing and pace and we enjoyed a full day. We appreciated his willingness to visit the Alcobaça Monastery even at the end of a long day, but we declined.
